What will Glinda say?
Luke's Luck became the World's Misfortune
“There is a critical issue that will affect everyone at this table. But before we discuss solutions, I will explain the events leading up to this crisis,” Glinda thought into everyone’s mind.
“My coven recently held a ritual at the Sunny Day Mall. It created a few independent sorcerers. One of the new sorcerers, a Life Wizard named Luke Smith was gifted a Genie Ring for his large participation in the ritual,” Glinda thought noticing everyone sit straight on the mention of a genie.
“Calm down, it was just a ring, useful for a single minor wish,” Glinda thought racing her hands.
Everyone always jumped at the mention of Genies. Ever since the Jinn War 'Wish Magic' (i.e. using ‘Mental Energy’ to reshape reality) had become progressively rare over the last few centuries.
The Jinn War was one of the few times Life and **** Casters joined forces. It was all in an effort to subjugate the Astral Sea and enslave the Jinn wish-granting population. But a full-scale invasion of the Astral quickly became fruitless. All captured Jinn committed suicide before their magical enslavement, choosing to die instead of empowering their enemies with ‘Mental Energy’. But that didn’t stop the invasion. A ceasefire was only called after the Arch-Jinn Nobility began raiding Earth. They kidnapped hundreds if not thousands of Soul-Casters (Sorcerer and Warlocks alike). And unlike the captured Jinn, the high-profile Soul-Casters expected rescue or ransom.
The end of the war established the ‘Behavior Contracts’ for all visitors to the Land of Dreams. And the establishment of the ‘Genie System’. Strong Jinn criminals would be sentenced to years granting wishes to the greater realms of the multiverse. Unfortunately, the strongest Jinn learned to fear capital punishment and stopped causing trouble in the Land of Dreams. Resulting in fewer and fewer Genie Lamps in circulation. Now, only the Wishing Rings were openly traded.
“We thought it best to reward the young upstart to entice him to join our coven. But sadly, that didn’t happen. Instead, he formed a coven of his own (The Life-Binders) in the middle of my territory. And built a ‘Life Energy’ gathering operation at the very sight of his first Breeding Ritual,” Glinda thought to everyone while grinning at Luke’s temerity.
“So, what does this have to do with us? This is stupid,” Phill the Satyr thought loudly finishing his wineskin.
“Let her speak,” Madam Mim thought back angrily.
Everyone froze at the mad woman’s voice.
“… Sorry,” Phill thought back lowering his eyes.
“ … Mr. Smith’s small coven was not significant at first. There are always many small independent groups enjoying … the protections and stability our Covens or Clans provide,” Glinda thought glancing at the Warlocks.
“The problem started with Luke Smith messing up the current balance in the Astral Sea. Mr. Smith the man given a Genie Ring a few months ago is now the Royal Consort of Queen Celestia. And recently confirmed to hold the ‘Magical Moniker’: Astral Duke Smith, the Grand Breeder. My agents suspect he is now a Jinn-Binder,” Glinda thought before she was interrupted.
“Jinn-Binder?” Everyone shouted in protest.
The room broke out into verbal arguments. Everyone except Glinda and Madam Mim jumped up forgoing the ‘Telepathy Table’ to physical yell instead. Secretly, all Fey and Soul-Caster alike wished they could be a Jinn-Binder. The ‘Harem Enslavement’ ability was one of the greatest powers known in the multiverse. The power to ‘Soul-Link’ your sexual partners and **** them to follow your interests was the sole reason for the Jinn War. Jinn-Binders commanded complete loyalty while enslaving anyone who fell to their harem armies.
CRACK!
Everything went silent as the old crazy Half-Jinn Warlock turned off physical noise in her castle. Madam Mim returned to eating a bone as things calmed down. Embarrassed the masters all returned to their seats.
“Thank you Mim,” Glinda thought bowing her head.
“Currently, we believe the low-level Life Wizard Luke Smith has ‘Soul-Linked’ with 2 Royal Jinn, 3 Jinn Nobles, and 3 Arch Sorcerers. Queen Celestia, Princess Eversong, Duchess Shine, Duchess Storm, Duchess Berry, Keyleth the Half-Elf Sorceress of Alexandria, Sabrina Spellman the High Sorcerer of Massachusetts, and finally Samantha Stephens the Arch Witch of Connecticut,” Glinda thought watching everyone’s faces.
Glinda noticed how everyone became a little paler after she mentioned the 3 Arch Life-Witches.
“But fear not, our potential conqueror is not ambitious. Although he has ‘Soul-Linked’ a few very powerful women. He has yet to make them do anything noteworthy. And while he has a good 3 dozen women under his influence already, he has slowed down. Rumors say he is more interested in … fucking his pregnant lovers … than the conquest of more partners,” Glinda thought with a smile.
The warlocks in the room giggled. While the sorcerers blushed. Powerful Life-Wizards were rare (due to their difficulty in collecting mana). But the famous ones always seem to get a reputation as sex-crazed perverts.
“So, Luke is a powerful wizard who fucked the Jinn Queen and is fixated on enjoying cardinal pleasures more than building an army? … Looks like you have another Merlin amongst your ranks,” the Arachne thought not noticing everyone’s amusement.
“You’re right Ms. Drain Heart. Mr. Smith is unlikely to cause much trouble. This brings me to the main reason for calling you all here. The Warlock, Dr. Bludd,” Glinda thought redirecting the conversation.
Everyone froze at the mention of the infamous doctor.
“Unfortunately, the madman has stopped his black-market practice and is attacking the Siren Capital, Atlantis. And before you ask how, he is using a Genie Lamp. The rare item was given to him by Queen Celestia’s agents in exchange for information on one of his patients. My sources claim the Queen was hunting for information on a young warlock assassin called Lady Mask. The Jinn Queen believes the assassin was paid by one of her Jinn Nobles to kill her beloved Roya Consort, Luke Smith. It is assumed that after the Lady Mask failed to kill Mr. Smith, she sought medical attention from Dr. Bludd,” Glinda thought before sighing.
“So Dr. Bludd got a Genie Lamp, and if the doctor was a simple man with simple ambitions that would have been the end of it. … Sadly … the infamous Doctor Blood has become an Elder Lich and has reanimated countless dead sea creatures. His forces have been assaulting Atlantis for 10 days straight,” Glinda thought slowly catching everyone’s gaze.
“In summary:
- A young Life-Wizard got "lucky" and became the Royal Consort to the Jinn Queen.
- A Jinn Nobel hired an assassin to kill the consort.
- The love-struck Queen stupidly traded a Genie Lamp to a powerful Necromancer for information on the assassin.
- The Necromancer used a Genie Wish to become a Powerful Lich forgoing the need for a mountain of **** Magic.
- Now a Lich formally known as Dr. Blood has amassed a giant army of undead sea monsters and is attacking Atlantis.
We don’t know how many wishes he used. Nor do we know the reason for his attack. We assume he is after the mythical Trident. The weapon was moved to Atlantis from the Elemental Plane of Water, during the Elemental War. If Dr. Blood gets the Trident his mastery over dead Sea-Beasts will be combined with the control of living Sea-Beasts,” Glinda thought to everyone.
Everyone shivered at the idea of an army of giant monsters that wouldn't stop after ****.
What will the group of Masters decide to do about Dr. Blood? Or the pervert Luke Smith?
