Luffy and Vivi Talk

After Luffy put Vivi's shoes back on her feet, he looked up towards her face, but then he felt embarrassed and ducked his head back down, staring at Vivi's feet. Vivi noticed this and tapped her shoes against the sides of Luffy's head.

"What's the matter, Luffy?" asked Vivi in a teasing tone. "You can look at my face you know instead of my feet."

"I can't right now, Princess Vivi. I don't know why, but it just feels like I shouldn't. I don't get it, please forgive me."

"If you really feel that strongly about it, that's fine. It's not unheard of for someone of your position to feel that way," replied Vivi subtly referring to Luffy's position as her maid and how he was growing more and more into that role and the changing dynamic betweeen them.

"I do not understand, Princess Vivi," replied Luffy.

"That is alright, Luffy. It's not that big of a deal. Just know that I am not angry with you lowering your eyes to my feet when you look my way."

Luffy felt a huge weight lift off his shoulders at Vivi's response. He was happy just knowing that Vivi wasn't mad at him. Besides, if it was something really important, Luffy trusted that Vivi would explain it to him.

"Thank you so much, Princess Vivi," said Luffy as he suddenly kissed her shoes without a single thought.

Before Luffy could say a word, Vivi laughed and said, "Looks like you need some work to occupy yourself."
