Luffy accepts but...

Luffy didn't want to do chores like cleaning and other stuff maids do, but as he looked at Vivi, he saw a different look than he usually did. It wasn't the usual look that she had when they were on the Going Merry just relaxing or when Vivi was constantly worrying about the rebellion and trying to stop it or asking the Straw Hats for help. The look Vivi was giving Luffy was more akin to her giving a command (and not mere suggestion) to a subordinate or servant and Luffy was struggling to say no to her.

"Ok fine Vivi. I'll help out the maids and do chores around here," said Luffy.

"First off Luffy, now that you've accepted your new role here, it's 'Princess Vivi' to you from now on. And second of all, you won't merely be 'helping' the maids, you ARE going to be a maid. Uniform and all," replied Vivi.

"Come on Vivi, don't be like that. It's only going to be a day or so until I leave, why do I need to wear a maid uniform and be all formal to you?" asked Luffy.

"Right back at you, Luffy. You can't handle such conditions for such a short amount of time?" countered Vivi.

"But I-"

"Enough, Luffy. Think of this as pinishment for recklessly asking over and over again to do something and saying how bored you were. You can't act recklessly without being prepared for consequences you didn't expect or want. As I already told you, I'm busy with my own stuff. I'll be back with a maid uniform for you real quick and to make sure you don't try to run away, I'll be holding on to your hat," said Vivi as she swiped Luffy's hat before he could react as she swiftly left the room.

Luffy opened the door to try to find her, but he couldn't see what direction Vivi had gone in, so he decided to wait in the room, thinking over what Vivi had told him.
