"Hey Alice, we need to get to work, I think we should go a different way back to the camp and see if we can find some good materials for remaking our shelter, we need something insulated and more structurally sound. What we have now is just a rough temporary shelter and it's got so many holes in it that a slight breeze chills you to the bone," I explained.

She continued to hug against me and sighed, "Okay, just let me cuddle for another minute."

I sighed but decided there wasn't much harm in it. Though saying that and reality are two different things. While silently hugging I was aware of here my dick was trapped. I laughed and shook my head, "We're looking for anything that looks like good building material, I thought we could move further inland then go in a diagonal line towards the beach, we still both have the compass bracelets so we should easily be able to make our way back. I was thinking maybe a twenty or thirty-minute walk further up and then start heading back."

We began making our way in a direction when we found a way up the elevated ground to where the waterfall came down, it was only eight or nine feet high but climbing up anywhere else with nothing at all on was dumb. Luckily the two of us didn't have to risk hurting ourselves as we found a natural staircase, it wasn't perfect by any stretch of the word but it was enough. Reaching the top Alice grabbed my hand again and then suggested we go back towards the fall and follow the water.

The ground was still quite sandy as we followed the water but maybe ten minutes of walking we noticed that the forest was denser ahead, and the trees seemed different, with much thinner trunks and more leaves we sped up a little and when we were a little closer that's when I noticed, "It's... bamboo?"

"What?" Alice asked looking at me.

"They aren't trees, it's bamboo, look at the shape of them, they're a strange colour though I thought bamboo was only green and yellow, those are more reddish-brown. This is amazing, we can build everything we need with those!" I cheered.

"Uh, did I miss something? Not to be a naysayer but, we were walking at a pretty good pace for ten minutes, then it's like 40 minutes back to camp. Assuming you could carry 2 or possibly three on your shoulder, your pace would be slowed down significantly. It's probably going to take days just to transport enough for what you want," Alice argued, looking at me like I'd lost my mind.

I laughed though since I'd already thought of a solution, "Bamboo floats, Alice. That means that we can chop these down, then send them downriver. Of course, we can't just send them on their way, most likely they'd cause a blockage at pool at the bottom of the waterfall, and in the unlikely event it managed to exit the pool, it would end up in the ocean floating away. No, what we'll have to do is send them down and I'll have you collect them at the pool, though we might have to test to see if you could do it, and if the bamboo will even float all the way down to the pool in the first place. Let's see if there are any fallen down or broken pieces first, if not I might have an idea, but I'm not sure if it will work." I explained.

"Okay, that does sound a bit better of an idea, I should hopefully be able to stack them as quickly as you can chop them down. Let's try it," Alice smiled, leading the way and dragging me.
