Luck is against Kyoko.

Kyoko felt the air on her body as she bounded through the hall, praying her bare feet on the tile wouldn't fail her and send her into a humiliating, uncontrollable, and painful nosedive. She could hear Nagito's footsteps, which was re-encouraging... Then, she heard the indignant yells of people she could imagine being shoved out of the way as he ran, which meant they were people who were about to be looking for what Nagito was running from. Kyoko's brain could give her that warning but couldn't do anything in terms of a solution. If she took any detour to avoid the audience at all, Nagito would likely disappear.

The determined detective didn't slow down, turning the corner to find two familiar faces (or familiar bodies, anyway). She was rapidly approaching the back of the red-headed Leon, who was already turning and exclaiming at her approaching form. In response to her, he did the least helpful thing she could imagine: shouting words she had no intention of listening to, he moved into a catcher's stance as if to stop her.

"Leon, move!" Kyoko shouted at him desperately, hoping the expression in her eyes registered as killing intent. The idiot didn't move. She saw a web of options unfold... if she moved to either side, he probably would use his baseball-trained arms to grab her, although she had no idea why; if she tried to slide between his legs, there was a very real possibility she wouldn't be able to get back to her feet; she could try to bull rush him, but again, if he stood his ground, she might end up down and out. Instead, she did the only thing she could think of. "Leon, there's a knife! Run!!"

This ploy worked. Leon reached the conclusion she'd hoped, that she was being chased by someone with a knife (instead of chasing someone with a knife). That snapped him straight from stupor and into life-preserving terror, and he turned and began running ahead of her with a high-pitched shriek...

...Immediately, Leon tripped over the second obstacle in the hall. The huge body of Hifumi was spread across the corridor's width. He didn't seem to have any injuries, and was slowly coming back to daylights, but he let out a yelp of pain as Leon tumbled over his tiny legs.

Kyoko wasn't about to slow down, but Leon had just cut off her optimal route. She couldn't jump his legs now without stomping on Leon, and she probably couldn't safely jump over his belly, even in her best condition. Gulping, she realized that meant she had one option...

As Hifumi finally got his spectacles back off the floor and onto his face, he turned his head towards Kyoko... then, he continued turning it back, craning it up as she flew over his head in a long leap.

Kyoko made the poor decision to look down as she jumped, her eyes clearly registering Hifumi's own beady gaze, which was very much not focused on her eyes. Looking at the reflection on his glasses, she could see into a part of herself she'd never clearly seen before, visible between her legs spread wide for the jump.

Once she'd landed safely on the other side, Kyoko's face tightened in a sour expression. She felt her ears burning and felt two pairs of eyes locked on her bare-naked butt. Still, she carried on, sure at least that the next corner couldn't give way to a hall worse than she'd just experienced.

This turned out to be true, but only because in a nightmarish turn of events, it gave way to an immediate surprise obstacle instead of a hall. She found herself stumbling over a wheeled metal serving cart that was just around the corner. Before she could process what was happening, she'd begun rolling down the hall on her knees on the cart, her bunched-up naked body displayed like a meal to a number of students whose faces she couldn't even register (except, blessedly, that none of them were Makoto). Even in this situation, her curiosity got the better of her: she turned her head with effort and caught a glimpse of the Ultimate Cook, Teruteru Hanamura, on the floor, watching her with the kind of wide eyes that Kyoko was getting more used to seeing trained on her ass. Alongside him was some ruined overturned dish along with Nagito, who'd probably had a similar but less momentum-inducing encounter a moment ago, while the cart was still loaded. The young man was clutching his messy head in apparent pain, but she had no doubt he'd be back on his feet soon.

Kyoko hadn't put stock into the idea Nagito had supernatural luck as a talent before, but she was starting to believe it...

Meanwhile, Kyoko's own luck just got worse. As she whipped her head back forward, she barely saw the person who would become the immovable object to the unstoppable **** of her serving cart.
