Lucas has another item to show you

Lucas continues demonstrating some Shoubu-magic infused items to you.

The next one looks rather mundane. A sheaf of a couple dozen circular black stickers each a couple inches in diameter.

Lucas carefully peels a single one off and sticks it onto his hand.

“We've shared profiles right?" says Lucas "So scan me with your GAME TRACKER.” he says.

You do so and get nothing. No name, no student or faculty ID, no information about GAMES, nothing whatsoever. A complete null result as if you were scanning thin air. Even manually searching on the GT turns up no profile for Lucas.

“The stickers don’t just give a null result by the way,” says Lucas “they also block CHALLENGES and any Shoubu magic. Say like tracking for example. You light up your smokes here whilst wearing one of these babies and the barman will notice you, previous CHALLENGE won or not. Finally they also affect inanimate objects as well.”

“Holy shit.” you whisper “Where the fuck did you get these? On second thoughts don’t answer that, I don’t want to know. These have to be contraband? Satan would be driving to work in a snow plow before the Auditors would allow something like this into the GAME economy, not to mention the amount of magic this would disrupt.”

Lucas gives a sly grin. “Highly contraband by faculty rules yes. Also, highly unknown to the faculty. Let’s just say these didn’t get produced by any Shoubu GAME. Anyway, they have their limitations. For starters the effect only lasts ten minutes or so. Also, not all magic is completely nullified. I haven’t quite worked out the specifics but for example say someone has used Shoubu magic to make themselves super strong, they’ll still be super strong when they try and lift you even if you have one of these stickers plastered to your face. Also they don't nullify GAMES in operation but I think they might disrupt time conditions. Pausing the clock so to speak.”

“Ok” you say “I’ll cut to the chase, straight out 8000 PRIZE tokens. Final offer.”

Lucas shakes his head and downs his drink. “To be honest I don’t really need the PRIZE Tokens Mason ol' buddy. Perhaps something from the other arrangement, we have?”

“Son of a bitch.” you laugh. “What happened to Jocelyn that Brit I sent your way at the beginning of the year? I know she’s still on your Assistant Credit programme. You called her "a fun little cock chugger". Your words Lucas.”

“Yeah” Lucas says a little sadly. “She is....Still on the programme I mean. Cock chugging not so much. I made a foolish CHALLENGE to get a little more action and well, she might still be a cock chugger but it’s not my dick she’s slurping.”

You chuckle slightly “Fucking idiot. You had a good thing going there. No wonder she’s been looking a little more pleased with herself in class last couple of weeks.” You down your own scotch and order another. “Fine let’s see what I can get you from the arrangement then.”

The arrangement between yourself and Lucas was simple. You were a student lecturer and Lucas was a Senior Technician in a faculty department. It was in your gift to allow a small number of students to get extra credit working on outside options and certain extra curricula activities. The GAME Effects and Affects Department was one such area. Lucas by contrast was a supervisor and could award the credits.

Every semester there were a small number of students, mainly (but not always) first years, who found themselves way below average and **** for extra credit gained in a very short amount of time or face flunking out of the University.

The arrangement was simply that you identified the most “suitable” female students to be introduced to Lucas. No GAMES from your side of things. Nothing that would be left on a GAME tracker. How Lucas proceeded when introduced to a nubile first-year teenage student **** for credit was his business. These kinds of arrangements were heavily frowned on by the faculty, but only because they broke the spirit that such encounters should be determined by GAMES. You’d both face stiff penalties if the faculty found out. On the other hand, the faculty did little to actually bother to find out about such arrangements amongst the University staff. Nonetheless neither of you liked to call on the arrangement too often. Keep things discreet. And anyway, you are a PI. You aren’t too interested in adding an M and P to that job title.

You scroll through your GAME Tracker and bring up two pictures of some suitable students.

"This is Victoria Haylin. Second year. 21. First time taking one of my classes. Fine looking dame. Absolutely flunked last semester and didn't do too well in her first year. Desperately needs the credit or she is done. She’d be my go-to if I had a choice but my impression is she might rather drop out of Shoubu than drop to her knees if you take my drift, so might be a no strike if I send her your way".

"Second option" you continue "is Becky Grangemoor. First year, 18. Complete slut. Is definitely hot to trot and needs the credit. Only concern is that she might well be fucking some other lecturers and have alternative options."
