Lovebirds

At the top of the hill, Zoey and Finn lied down on the grass, looking up at the dark sky, holding hands, as they admired the beautiful night filled with stars. From the top of the hill they had a fantastic view of the island, but they were more focused on watching the stars, and naming the many constellations that were present that night.

"That one looks familiar..." - Zoey said, as she pointed at a group of stars formed in the sky. She looked at Finn, with a sweet smile, as he remembered the name of the constellation, and she giggled at his thoughtful expression, before he remembered.

"Oh, I know that one... that's Odin's Phallus!" - Finn exclaimed cheerfully, which made Zoey gasp in surprise, as she realized that the penis shaped constellation above them was, in fact, Odin's Phallus.

"It is Odin's Phallus!! Wow, you have a good eye" - Zoey exclaimed, before the both of them giggled, while staring at each other. But in that moment, their bodies got closer, to the point where they were shoulder to shoulder, also as they were staring at each other's eyes, Finn noticed how beautiful Zoey looked, so he turned on his side, to have a better view of her face.

"This has been a very special night, right?" - Finn asked, with a soft tone, as he began to brush Zoey's hair with his hand. She giggled nervously, as she was starting to blush, and when Finn moved his hand down, to gently caress her neck, she nuzzled up to him, in a warm act of affection. He hugged her with one arm, and as they were closer than ever, he started to realize the true feelings he had for her, that he hoped were mutual.

"Finn?" - Zoey muttered, as she cuddled with Finn's chest. He looked down, to see her staring back at him, and they both smiled at each other, until Zoey continued speaking.

"I think it’s obvious by now..." - Zoey whispered, as she looked away, since she was starting to get shy again.

"What is obvious?" - Finn asked her, but she just looked away, and seemingly ignored him, as she continued talking.

"But I still think I need to tell you..." - Zoey continued whispering, it seemed like she was talking to herself, but it was clearly for Finn, so he was confused.

"Tell me what?" - Finn asked, but again, at first, it seemed like she was ignoring him, until she turned her face to look at him. He was stunned by her beautiful dark yellow eyes glowing on her cute face, as she stared at him with a shy expression. He froze, as a rush of different emotions ran through his mind, but as Zoey continued to stare at him, she got the courage to finally express what she has always wanted to say to Finn.

"I love you" - Zoey whispered, as she hugged Finn closely, who was first surprised, but then smiled, and felt the need to say it back.

"I love you too..." - Finn responded, and even though hearing those words meant a lot to Zoeym she still felt like there was more to say, so after thinking about it, she decided to make it clearer.

"No Finn, I really love you" - Zoey whispered again, now proving that her love for him went further than just their friendship. This sentence would usually confuse Finn, but after his talk with Faranne yesterday, when he learned he shared some romantic feelings with her, he immediately realized what she meant, she just confessed her love for him.

"Oh..." - Finn muttered, as he now knew the meaning of what she said. This got Zoey worried, as she thought he didn't share the feeling, but after a long silence, he smiled again.

"Really?" - Finn asked with a smile, as he was pleasantly surprised to find out Zoey loves him. She nodded shyly, and looked away, from fear of getting rejected, but then she heard what she always wanted to hear since her crush for Finn began.

-No way... it actually happened... how?... I mean, it was a little obvious but I don't... oh, how stupid of me... all these years, we secretly loved each other and neither of us had the courage to say it... I feel like such a fool, she was the one that had to confess her feelings while I was just a scared coward... why am I like this??... it doesn't matter, now at least it came to reality... she actually loves me and, and I love her too!!... I can't believe this, is she going to be my girlfriend? What is going to happen to us? Wha- I should probably tell her instead of overthinking all of this- Finn said to himself, as he was shocked by the realization that he shared the same feelings with Zoey. They have been real lovebirds throughout all these years, all of that flirting was building up to this moment, and now it was finally the time, when he got to say what he has felt for a very long time by now.

"I really love you too, Zoey" - Finn whispered, causing Zoey to smile, and hug him tighter, which made him chuckle, as they shared their loving hug, until she pulled away.

"YES!!, you don't know how happy you have made me... AAAAH!! I'm the happiest girl in the world right now!... I seriously can't believe it but it feels like we both already knew that we loved each other, right? It's like you knew how much I like you but we both were too scared to admit it..." - Zoey said, with an excited, but also shy tone, to which Finn responded with a smile, and a playful tone, as he confirmed the doubts that Zoey had. They both laughed, before hugging again, but then Zoey felt like she needed to say something else.

"But wait... I don't know what this all means or what do we do from now but... I really just want to spend more time with you, in like these romantic settings... go out on dates, hold hands, share passionate hugs and do all sorts of things that you know... lovers do..." - Zoey said quietly, as she was too shy to tell him that she wanted to date him, and even muttered the last part, so he couldn't hear it.

"Umm... you mean like... dating?" - Finn asked confusedly, but still smiling, as he liked the idea, and was looking forward to more special, and romantic time with Zoey.

"Exactly!! A romantic relationship, that's what I want with you... I want to date you!... just be able to spend time together like this... like- like a couple or something..." - Zoey said nervously, but with excitement, as she proposed the idea of starting a relationship with Finn. She was scared that he might say no, but thankfully for her, he smiled, and showed a lot of enthusiasm in his expression.

"So you want to be in a relationship with me? You want us to be a couple?" - Finn asked playfully, as he knew what was the outcome of this, but he was still surprised when Zoey nodded, as her face flushed, and she got a bit anxious.

"Well then... Zoey... would you like to be my girlfriend?" - Finn asked with a smirk, as he got confidence, and got closer to Zoey, so their faces could be right in front of each other. He witnessed the excitement building up in Zoey's eyes, as she also got closer to him, but with all that confidence, he was still caught off guard by her response...
