Love is in the Air!

"Don't you worry, Baby Doll! I know my way out of here--I think." said Alisah.

Chris the Elf could have run for it with Alisah, but the woman's protective instincts took over. She picked him up and slung him over her shoulder and then ran for the exit. It led them to the balcony.

"What good is going this way?" asked Chris. "We have to go down!"

"Not to worry, Baby Doll," said Alisah, "I've got transportation!"

She ran, carrying Chris the long length of the balcony, until she came to the potted plant where she had stashed the magic carpet. She put Chris down and unrolled the huge purple rug.

"Oh, a magic carpet!" said Chris, "I've always wanted to travel on one of these. Did Silk give it to you, Beloved?"

"She sure did," Alisah said, "And it's a wonder, too!"

With that, the two of them stepped onto the flying carpet there on the castle's balcony. Alisah willed the thing up into the air, and they zoomed off into the sky. They saw that the trail of Sharkunza's green smoke led off into the opposite direction from where thy wanted to go. Alisah willed the thing to go quickly in case Chris was right about exploding castles. Sure enough, he was.

Kah-BOOM! The two of them watched as the once magnificent castle exploded into rubble. Faster they traveled, away from the noise and smoke.

"Sharkunza is flying off the the Mountains of Gerthang, where only evil things dwell," said Alisah, "Do you think that she'll ever trouble us again, my Darling?"

"Only if someone writes a sequel and posts it at the CHYOO site." said Chris.

"Then, we'll just have to wait and see." said Alisah.

Though it had seemed as if their encounter with the Forces of Evil had lasted for days, it was now only late afternoon. They had started out only that morning, with Chris' ****.

"Look, over there," said Alisah, pointing downward to the earth, "It's the Slathmong River. We had such fun when we were there last time."

"How about we go down for a skinny-dip? We're both dressed for it."

"Let's go!"
