Love and Marriage

Their chat was light, and filled with laughs. It was fun to compare expectations, the differences between a Luxian maiden and a Nocternian gal. Liandra did feel impressed by how much responsibility laid with the Nocternian, "For she is, ultimately, the only one who will decide if she is ready, or if her current beau is the right one". Liandra, on her part, couldn't quite defend so well the Luxian love practices, but still felt it was important to be sanctioned in the eyes of the gods.

"Yes... I am betrothed. To a man I don't know, to a marriage I don't want" Their conversation grew dark, and Liandra wished she knew the answer of any of the questions Kendra was asking. In the end she just sights exhausted, and exclaims "I wish I could just follow my heart, and marry you, Kendra"

They were at the city by then, so Liandra couldn't just start making out with the baroness then. Even if neither was recognized, it would still be a blatant erotic display in a very public place. At least in the garden the two had some privacy... Liandra barely registered her words.

"So why don't we?" Kendra repeated "We could, and keep it our secret" and she then whispers "and remember, after marriage there are the nuptials..."
