Lots of embarrassment

"Dawn?" Buffy said.

Dawn looked around, and hastily sprinted behind one of the shelves; she didn't want to get too close to it, not sure what any of the magical items on it would do, but she really wanted something between her and her sister just then.

She took a deep breath, still holding her arms over herself, blushing.

"I said get out!" Dawn squealed.

"Are- are you ok?" Buffy said. She took a step closer. "I'm sure we can find something for you to wear, if-"

"I can't," Dawn squeaked.

"What?" Buffy said.

Dawn swallowed, cheeks warming.

"W-Willow did something," Dawn said. "There- there was a jacket down here but it v-vanished when I tr-tried to..."

Dawn whimpered. She backed away as Buffy neared again.

"We can work something out," Buffy said.

"J-just leave me alone," Dawn said.

She hunched over, as if she could shrink down enough that she could hide her whole body behind two slender, trembling arms. Awkwardly she moved back, still backing away.

"If you come back upstairs-" Buffy began. Dawn yelped.

"I'm not going out there!" Dawn squealed.

"You can't stay down here forever," Buffy said. "Together we might be able to do something. Plus weird stuff happens in the storage room, seriously, take it from me."

Buffy gave a long, wary look at the mummy hand. Dawn flushed just looking at it.

Nervously, Dawn began to move around the shelf, just poking her head out the far side, flushing. Buffy breathed a sigh of relief to see her.

She supposed Buffy had a point, even if... Dawn gulped. Oh god, this couldn't be happening.

"O-ok," Dawn said. "J-just turn around."

Buffy smiled, then nodded, leading the way back up the stairs. Dawn breathed a sigh of relief. Then, a whimper escaping her lips with each nervous step, she began to stumble along behind her sister. Bare feet moved gently along the ground, long legs shaking, as they approached the stairs.

As they neared the doorway, Dawn whimpered and sped up, getting closer to Buffy.

"Don't turn around!" Dawn yelped, as Buffy reacted.

Dawn shifted her arms, squirming, and crouching a little more to try and hide behind Buffy. Damn it, why did her sister have to be so short?

They walked out into the main room of the Magic Box, Dawn reddening all the more as she caught sight of all her friends. And- Giles? When had Giles gotten back? And Anya was there too, along with Willow, though the witch now seemed bound by some kind of magic.

The dark-haired Willow winked at her. Dawn yelped.

Breaking cover from behind Buffy, Dawn sprinted to the counter, ducking under it and trying not to think about how much everyone must just have seen.

"So. Are we going to talk about that or..." Xander said.

"Willow did something," Buffy said.

"At least get her a coat," Giles said.

"She said she tried," Buffy said. "Anya left one down there, but it just vanished when she put it on."

Dawn whimpered.

"Oh, that's just great," Anya said. "You're buying me a new one."

"Anya!" Buffy said.

"Oh, fine, we're all more concerned about Dawn being naked than we are Anya's very stylish jacket," Anya said. "I see how it is."

"Yes! We are!" Dawn said, voice high.

She stuck her head over the top of the counter, nude body staying crouched behind it. Then, realising everyone could see her blushing features, she squealed and ducked back down.

Dawn shifted, sitting and pulling her knees to her chest behind the cover of the counter. Oh god, yep, that was pretty much everyone she knew in one room and she was stuck stark naked just there. Deep breaths.

There was another sound. Dawn whimpered; hastily she glanced around. Ok, at least no one was going around the till.

Hesitantly Dawn squirmed again, pushing up to look over the counter. No one was looking at her; instead, their attention was on the door to the Magic Box. Dawn whimpered; oh great, that was the last thing she needed, someone else to see her like this.
