Chapter 3 by RedHairedFriend RedHairedFriend

What does this false Friend do ?

Loses her quest.

Tara continued to walk past Jennifer, not really seeing her, but looking past her, as if she weren't not even their. It wasn't until Jennifer reached out and grabbed the woman, that Tara finally stopped and looked at her. Terror was reflected in Tara's eyes, a fear that seemed to scream help me. For a moment Jennifer almost let Tara go, but then she sensed that this was the moment, the moment that she'd been waiting for.

“Come let me help you,” Jennifer told the bemused woman. She plastered a fake look of concern and love on her face. “You look like you've had a shock. Come home with me and tell me what's wrong.”

Tara looked at the woman, then at the path in her mind that just seemed to be there. Was this an obstacle? Was this the thing she was supposed to plow through to get where she needed to go? There were so many questions running in her mind, something told her not to trust Jennifer. There was a little speck of doubt, and she looked deep into her friend's eyes, and saw the misleading features of compassion.

Something inside Tara snapped. “NO!” she screamed. She would not be controlled, she would not be manipulated. She pushed against Jennifer's chest, causing the woman to fall and stumble back. Tara ran. She ran quickly, as fast as she could. Her feet padded along the sidewalk until she ran right into a man. His hands grabbed her arms, and he pushed her against the brick wall. “Please... let me go,” she pleaded as the pounding in her head continued to pull at her.

“Why doll?” the man asked. His fingers coming up to her chest, pinching her nipple as his mouth descended down toward her neck. Again Tara found herself full of fear and yet power also. With a hard blow to the man's swelling sex with her knee he doubled over in pain, and trembled violently.

“Where Master... where do I go?” she pleaded, fear of the darkness descending on her. The childhood fear began to consume her. Tara had no idea she had begged for a Master, her Master. She only wanted to be in his arms. She turned toward the beach, then back toward the path in her mind. Hurridly she ran into the darkness, and then into the woods.

Will her Master come?
