Lose Ends

It wasn't until they reached the bottom of the escalators that Dave realized he and Kurt weren't just being escorted away from the fucking couple. They were getting tossed out of the store all together.

"This is so unfair! What did we do that was so bad?" Dave whined.

"Nothing," Shawn replied. "I just can't have a couple of teenage boys watching live sex shows in my store."

"Can't we at least hang out on the ground floor?" Dave pleaded.

"No. There's already been one complaint about you. I'm not in the mood to hear a second," the giant answered.

Pointing down at the line that separated the sporting goods store form the mall proper Shawn said. "Now don't you dare cross that line or I'll call the Mall Dog on you two."

Dave stomped his foot. "Damn it!" He knew that Breeding Pass was as good as gone now.

"Now what?" Kurt asked his friend.

"I don't know." Dave grasped Kurt by the arm and guided him away from the mall entrance. Mall Security was undoubtedly on its way and with him being numero uno on the Mall Dog's watch list sticking around was not a good idea.

Not really knowing what to do Dave followed his friend back the way they had just come. He hoped another opportunity would pop up. After all there had to be other Breeding Passes floating around the mall somewhere. Didn't there?

Dave was so deep in contemplation he almost walked right into a couple exiting the men's restroom. The woman's haphazard dress and frizzy brown hair and the man's cocky grin told Dave exactly what the couple had just been doing.

"Breeding Pass?" Dave ventured.

"Ummm... Yeah," the frizzy haired woman responded. "I got a Breeding Pass."

"Can I have it?"

"Ummm... No. They're evil," the woman mumbled. She seemed a little out of it. Dave figured the sex must have been real good.

"I still don't get it," Kurt said. "Why are the passes so special? Where are they coming from?"

"They're not special," the man with cocky grin answered. "And there's a guy giving them out at the south side entrance."

"Do you think he still has more?" Kurt asked.

"Not a clue," the stranger answered. "Now if you'll excuse me I have a hot date to get back to." He gave his 'girl' a friendly little squeeze.

Dave fussed, "Whatever. You just want that Breeding Pass back."

"Come on lets try the south side entrance," Kurt suggested.

"Might as well, but the guy handing them out is a real prick," Dave warned.

Parting ways with the cocky asshole and his 'girl' Dave and Kurt made their way towards the south of the mall. It wasn't long till they were caught up in a bustling crowd of shoppers again. Their pace slowing to a crawl as the mob in front of them shuffled along at a snail's pace.

Spying a familiar face in the crowd Dave reached out and grabbed the passing man's arm. "Hey! You're Trip right?"

Confused that a stranger would know his name Trip answered, "Yeah. That's me. What of it?" Studying Dave's face closely recognition flashed in Trip's eyes. "Oh wait. I know you. You were that kid from earlier. The one that wanted the Breeding Pass."

"Yeah." Dave answered trying not to show his anger at being called a kid. After all he was fucking eighteen. "So did you ever get a second pass from the man in the hoody?"

"I did. Guy hooked me right up?" Trip held up his new Breeding Pass, its laminated glint catching Dave's eyes.

"That's so unfair!" Dave whined.

Without warning Kurt reached up and swiped the Breeding Pass snatching it from Trip's hands so fast he didn't have time to react and darting off just as fast. Caught off guard Dave was slow to follow, but not as slow as Trip.

"The fuck!" the blond playboy cried out. "Get back here!" Trip hollered at the fast retreating pair of teens. He considered chasing after them, but then decided "Fuck it!" He will just ask for a third pass.

The two teens raced through the mall. Forcing several shoppers to step aside or risk being run over. One it was clear Trip hadn't bothered to chase them the mad dash slowed to a walk.

"What was that all about?" Dave asked.

"I had to get this!" Kurt replied holding up the Breeding Pass. "It's important right?"

"Yeah it is."

"Well now that we got a Breeding Pass what are we going to do with it?" Kurt asked his friend.

It was comments like this that sometimes made Dave wonder about Kurt's intelligence. "Why we're going to use it," Dave answered.
