Lore Changes

Since I'm sorta getting back into this again, I figured it was about time to start explaining various concepts and what have you that I've messed with for the sake of the story.

Be aware that I was not borthered to type this up in a doc beforehand and subject my editor to it . . . this is gonna be rough. This will also be changed and edited as I flesh my own lore out in the future and I'll leave the notification on for updates of this chapter . . . so if you see the same chapter in your notifications list multiple times, now you know.

With that said, let's get into it!

Currency changes;

Credit chips, chits and all that shit -

Funnily enough, if you take all the various media that Star Wars has encompased over the years, you'll find many many many different kinds of money. Currently, at the time this story is set, the Republic Credit is the currency primarily used by the Galactic Republic. Since the Star Wars universe has an odd tendency to use physical, or partially digital, currency, I've decided to chronicle my own variation of the things currently in use by the commonry of the Republic . . . were they to accept the Republic Credit in the first place . . .

Credit Chips - Based entirely on what they look like, I've decided that Credit Chips are a sort of "programmable" form of physical currency. By this, I mean that it has raised dots and ridges that, when put through a machine, will read a specific denomination. presumably, this denomination is somehow seeable on the card so one can tell at a glance. These would be the sort of thing you'd carry around on you for all but the smallest of your purchases. Obviously, there is a cap to how much money can be put on a Credit Chip and, thus, one might need several in order to purchase, say, a ship.

Credit Chit - Not to be confused with the above Credit Chip, the Credit Chit, is a small denomination item similar to "silver coins" of today's cash based currencies. These would, naturally, reprisent single digit credit denominations (and possibly half-credit denomoniations). Obviously, this kind of currency medium would only be used in poorer areas like the undercity of Coruscant. Funnily enough, there is, actually, a vague mention to them in Star Wars lore but originally, I'd gotten them confused with Mass Effect credit chits and had thus included them in a chapter early on. It wasn't until I researched it later that I realised they aren't really supposed to be a thing . . . oh well, I've made my own headcannon now, deal with it :P

New Ships;

VTX-30 - This is a ship I created for the purposes of the story. Why didn't I choose to use it for the female branch of the story? that's a good question . . . I'd very much like to know the answer to it . . . I have detailed maps to the layout and a firm mental picture . . . oh well. Anywho, as to the lore of this particular ship, basically it was intended to be a gunship for the Judicial forces. It was supposed to be intended specifically for attacking criminal bases and thus had a large troop bay and heavy weapons. However, the judies weren't taking this ship any more than they were taking the similar shaped Maurader Cruiser thus, the guys who originally made this ship attempted to turn it into an armed cargo ship. The Corellians kinda already have that market neatly cornered and thus their ships are cheaper and more modular so the VTX-30 died in it's crib only for the MC to pick up the original proto-type vessel by pure luck . . . or was it . . .
