I groggily drag myself out of bed. I can hear the soft hum of the TV just outside my bedroom. I was... frustrated at first, when Vi told me that maybe we should slow down, that maybe we jumped too quickly to fucking another man. "You staying or going back home?" I ask her.

The sun eventually gets too hot and we move our picnic blanket under a tree, still enjoying the sunshine but with a bit of respite from the harsh rays. My back is against the tree as I cotinue to read, letting myself forget about the mountain of assignemnts sitting in my dorm room.

I freeze, I turn to look at Vi as she sits cross-legged, her hands in her lap, her book forgotten to her side, how long has she been sitting like this?
"Yeah? You okay?"
Vi nods and her lips purse and twitch as she contemplates her words, "Is this going to be like... forever?"
"Uni? I hope not?" I stop the chuckle as I note the sincerity in her eyes and voice.
"I'm serious. This whole sharing or cuck thing or whatever we want to call it." She pauses. "Is this just our relationship forever now?"
I swallow nervously. Of course, if Vi is uncomfortable with it we'll stop... But, I don't really want to stop just yet. "You want to stop?"
She shakes her head, I let out an internal sigh of relief.
"No, I really enjoy it, it makes our sex life ten times more exciting than what it was before. But after Max... I was wondering if this is just us now. I'm guessing that this isn't the end, we'll become more... depraved. But like, what happens next? We graduate and what?" She looks at me, uncertainty in her eyes. I'm not really sure what she wants.
I exhale slowly, I hadn't really considered the future. I try and hide my smile, Vi is thinking of our life after graduation. Our life.
"Maybe we keep this up just during college... We can have that proper experience and explore ourselves... I haven't really thought about what we'll do after graduating. But, I think that a lot of the opportunities would be gone, so it might just die out naturally? I'm not sure, I'm happy to focus on the here and now, and then we can figure out our life after."

She smiles and nods, satisfied with my answer. "Promise me, I know it gets annoying but promise." I nod. "If I ever go to far you'll tell me." She holds up three fingers. "I fucking love doing this, of course. But I can easily stop... For you."

I take her hand in mine and press my forehead against hers. I whisper softly, "I promise."
