Look up the Arcadia Bay AWE

Jesse added Max's number to her phone (outside the Oldest House, of course) and put in a request for a copy of any relevant documents about Max Caulfield. That included verified copies of her P12 file from Containment and Arcadia Bay documents from Investigations.

The first time she went to the Prime Candidate Program, much of it was blocked off due to Bureau-typical weirdness melding with the Hiss' influence. With both problems fixed, Jesse was able to get a good look at the P12 room while her request for copies went through the proper channels. While it had all of the typical desks and markerboards and filing cabinets you'd expect, over half of the room looked more like a gallery. It turned out that the Bureau had been buying all of the originals of Max's gallery work. In fact, the galleries Max had been showing in New York were all FBC-owned fronts and had basically been anonymously funding her stay there to keep a better eye on her.

Jesse didn't know whether that was generous or downright insidious. Either way, Jesse didn't know much about photography, but Max certainly had talent.

She had only a few weeks before Max left New York, and she wanted to make an informed decision moving forward.

She liked Max. She didn't know her very well, but she really wanted to see her again. A part of Jesse felt dirty using her influence as Director like this. It kind of felt like cyberstalking, only worse because she had a portion of the United States government at her disposal.
