And so you scour the chatrooms and information provided to you. Some leading to new site’s with more information and more links, and as you fall deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole your excitement grows. There are a couple of things you learn.

1) slaves (both male and female) are divided in 3 categories, each one having their own rules. These categories where: willing slaves, death row inmates who chose slavery over death and ex-civillians. This last category shouldn’t really exist and is rarely talked about and is highly illegal. The other 2 were allowed on planets within the goverments control. The death row inmates could be used as a normal slave but can’t count on the goverment to protect them. The willing slaves however still had some rights, mainly that you could not permanently harm them (both physically and psychologically) additionally they would get a choice every few years if they still wanted to be a slave. How long this period was depended on their contract but was never shorter then a year.

2) if you wanted to get your own slave it was recommended to have a base of operation. altough it wasn’t illegal to have a slave of the first 2 categories you would most likely be looked at weird and possibly kicked out of your house. Additionally, death row slaves might try and escape or intentionally cause problems.

3) slaves vary greatly in price and all categories have nearly all types of slaves, both in personality and looks. However the better the slave the less likely their owner would be to sell them and since most people can live comfortable lives without a worry for money trading slaves has become the primary way of aquiring them.
