Atsuko Kagari didn't see where, if she wanted to be a great witch, there were any rules she had to follow. She hefted the large book, covered in strange runes, most of those obscured by the chains wrapped around its sinister, black leather..WAS it leather ? It smelled funny. Leathery hide. The chains were, of course, made of a magic- proof metal. But , Akko wasn't deterred. She inserted her crowbar. " Come on, you..grunt ! Forbidden spells. I really don't see why I should Grr ! Have to steal such a thing"

With a sudden snap, the chains fell away. The massive, black book lay open.
