Chapter 29

Perhaps no more overthinking?
Loitering Before Dinner
The walk back to the cafeteria was a pleasant stroll. At first.
His exploration of the school had given him a newfound sense of familiarity for this place. He really felt like he could come to call this school home one day. It was just a budding feeling at the moment, but Gray could see himself walking these campus streets like they were his stomping grounds. Like the forest back home.
Gray was leisurely trotting along when someone called out to him.
“Hey, aren’t you the guy that lost that fight in combat class?”
When Gray turned to look at the speaker it took him a moment to recognize him. Gray had seen this boy before. Tall, muscled, short brown hair and a cocky grin. Only this time he wore the school uniform instead of the casual wear Gray had seen him in, back on the first night.
Gray eyed the boy in front of him, wondering what his intentions were. He took note of the grin on the boy’s face and came to the unsure assumption that he was approached by some sort of meathead. And considering the way he had been flexing in front of the mirror in the boy's toilets on that first night, Gray thought that assumption was more than likely.
“Yeah, I suppose I would be.” Gray finally answered.
“Yeah, well, I suppose fighting against a girl can be tough for some guys.” There it was. Definitely a meathead that thought girls were inherently weaker than boys.
On a purely physical basis, without Aura, Semblances or weapons, he would have some ground to stand on. But those three things were the great equalizers. Aura allowed a person to tap into a kind of strength that would have been difficult to attain without it. And just about anyone, who had the mental fortitude, could unlock it.
Even if Aura allowed someone to reach a level of strength they previously would have had difficulty reaching, they still put their body under strain when using it. Their body adapted, in part, to their new strength. To the point where, if their powers were somehow magically stripped from them, much of their physical prowess would remain.
Of course, that’s never been tested before. It was a scientific hypothesis built upon lots of observations of Aura enhanced people. However, there was no known way to completely strip someone of their Aura.
“Don’t let it get you down though. It’s just that some of us were born to be strong.” The boy continued. His grin grew to be a smirk. He folded his arms and stood arrogantly before Gray. “If you want, I can take **** for you in the next combat class.”
Gray wanted to heave a great big sigh at this boy’s words. Having to deal with a dude like this every day would be tiring. Gray had a sneaky suspicion that this boy would make a nuisance of himself any chance he’d get if left alone. Gray might need to do something about him.
“How thoughtful of you, but here’s a better idea,” Gray began, before turning his Semblance on. The boy’s grin immediately softened. “You and your team will refrain from bullying, harassing or belittling others for the duration of your time here in Beacon Academy. You will also show no romantic or sexual interest in any of the girls I’m dating.”
That last part was due to a little bit of paranoia on Gray’s part. Gray wouldn’t put it past someone like the boy in front of him to go after the girl(s) that his victim was interested in. Gray didn’t want to compete with a bonehead like him.
“Uh, yeah. Sounds better than my idea.” The boy nodded seriously.
Gray let down his Semblance and nodded to himself. “Cool. See you around.”
Gray turned away from the boy, who he still didn’t get the name of, and walked away. Hopefully that dealt with any future headaches.
He finally made it back to the cafeteria.
Gray glanced over the benches outside the building to see if his girls were loitering around outside. A few students were hanging around socialising, walking around or sitting at the lunch benches. Not seeing any of the girls of his team, Gray walked inside to see a few more students taking advantage of the free time after class and before dinner.
Gray looked towards the kitchen and counter area and saw that the staff were hard at work behind a closed screen that was semi-transparent. Nothing was being served at the moment, evident by the serving trays at the counter being empty and there being no lines waiting.
There were some students waiting by a vending machine but otherwise the entrance was largely empty. Gray walked further into the cafeteria hall and marvelled a little bit more at how large the room was. The tall ceiling and length of the hall made the small groups of students hanging around seem so small and the hall so empty.
Up above, the holographic banners were playing much the same as what they had been playing during lunch. However, something caught his attention.
One of the larger banners was playing a video of a fight. More specifically, his fight. His fight with Jeanne.
Gray stood there staring up at the spectacle, wondering how he felt about that. Suddenly, he felt panic when he saw the camera zoom out a little bit while tracking the fight. Glynda Goodwitch came into view, with her naked breasts being caught on camera for the whole of the cafeteria to see.
Gray looked around furtively to gauge the reactions to a topless teacher.
Some students were looking up at the banner, others were more absorbed in the various conversations murmuring around the room.
Not one boy seemed aroused at the sight of Goodwitch, and not one girl seemed scandalised by the same sight. A whole room full of young adults seemed to not even notice the recording of bare woman flesh from an attractive teacher. It went ignored, as if it were the most normal thing to see. No, it was the fight itself that had some people's attention.
There were some people that seemed to be conversing over how good the fight was. Others were just absentmindedly watching as they talked of other things.
One particular group of girls seemed to be teasing one in their midst over it. A blonde girl had her head down, her shoulders hunched as if she were trying to disappear from reality. Another blonde sitting next to her was poking her arm and grinning. A red head was rubbing the first blonde’s back soothingly and the rest of the girls at the table seemed to enjoy the show.
The rest of the table’s occupants included girls with black hair, one white hair and a ginger.
Team spotted.
With a grin Gray walked over.
As Gray got closer, he could hear a little bit of the teasing that Jeanne had to endure.
“–just think how jealous all the other girls are going to be when they find out that you managed to score a boyfriend. On the first day of school. After beating him in a fight.” Yang was pointing out cheerfully to her fellow blonde. “Man, that must be some kind of record.”
Jeanne just groaned painfully to herself.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if a bunch of girls started challenging guys to fights instead of confessing.” Yang continued. She elbowed Jeanne’s side playfully. “Look at this trendsetter.”
“...Yang please...”
“I doubt they would all take that approach because of Jeanne.” Weiss spoke up. The Heiress sat there with the posture befitting of a high society lady. Back straight with hands resting on her lap. Though the small smirk of amusement at the corner of her lips broke that image somewhat.
“But it would be funny if they did.” Yang replied with a grin.
“It would be funny.” Gray called out, finally reaching the table.
The girls all looked up to see the sole boy of their friend group return to them.
“Alas! The boyfriend has returned!” Nora yelled with excitement. Her hands slammed onto the table as she lifted herself up. She then pointed at Gray with a finger. “I demand that you kiss this girl silly!”
“Nora!?” Jeanne yelped. Her embarrassment kicked up a notch, especially since some students at a neighbouring table took notice of the yelling ginger.
The girls of teams RWBY and JNPR had varying degrees of exasperation and amusement on their faces while Jeanne looked mortified. Nora, however, looked proud of herself.
Gray decided to respond seriously, though.
“Perhaps not in front of so many people Nora.”
The loud ginger went from proudly grinning to disappointed and deflated in less time it would take to blink. So sudden was the change that it seemed comical.
“Party pooper.” She said and sat down with a pout.
Jeanne looked relieved.
Wanting to sit down, Gray looked to Ruby who sat next to Yang. “Hey Rubes. Can you scoot along just a little.”
The girl who was quiet up until now, looked up at the boy and quickly tried to make space for him. “Sure.”
In turn, Yang, Jeanne and Pyrrha shifted on the bench to make space for Gray. He sat down next to Ruby and settled in, making sure that he was shoulder to shoulder with the shy girl, and his leg was comfortably pressed up against hers.
“So, what did I miss?” He asked the eight girls.
The girls took a moment to think about the last couple hours.
“Hmm, not much really.” Yang told him.
“Loitering.” Gray heard Weiss say with a disapproving tone. “We did a lot of loitering instead of anything productive.”
“What is there to be productive about after the first day of school?” Yang, likely a procrastinator by nature, asked.
“I don’t know, maybe visit the library and borrow some books to study?” Weiss, likely an overachiever by nature, asked as if it were the only thing that made sense.
“Eh, can’t we do that when they actually give us homework?” Was Yang’s half-hearted reply. She shrugged and Weiss just glowered at her teammate’s lack of enthusiasm for studying.
A small awkward silence went by before Blake filled it with, “We did take a walk around campus. To become familiar with the place.”
“I didn’t think this place would be so huge!” Nora chimed in, once again feeling excited. “It’s like a city. Or maybe a large town.”
“Except, the only residences are the dorms. Everything else is school related.” Jeanne added to the conversation.
“Actually, I believe the professors have a section of homes somewhere on campus.” Pyrrha informed them.
“So, it is kind of like a town.” Nora sang.
“Yes, I suppose it is.” Pyrrha giggled at the childlike nature of the ginger girl.
“How did your meeting go with the headmaster?” Yang asked Gray. All the girls paid attention.
“It went well. They issued my room key, so that’s sorted. I won’t be locked out of our room by accident now.” Some of the girls smiled at the thought. “I also asked about the bed situation.”
Team RWBY paid more attention to that.
“Oh yeah! Did they say we can have bunk beds?!” Ruby asked, eyes lighting up in excitement. Yang beside her also looked ready for a positive outcome.
“Yep.” Gray said with a grin.
“Yes!!” “Whooo, yeah boy! That’s what I’m talking about!” The two sisters whooped in excitement, raising their hands in triumph.
“Wait, wait, you guys get to have bunkbeds?” Jeanne asked the whooping Yang next to her.
“How come?! That’s not fair!” Nora yelled after.
“Hey, hey now, we were going to make bunkbeds irregardless of whatever the teachers would say, but Gray here wanted to get permission for actual bunks first.” Yang told them while holding up her hands to calm them down.
“Irregardless is not a word.” Blake said, her nose back in a book.
Yang only acknowledged her with an amused “Heh.”
“I’m surprised they actually allowed it.” Weiss stated her doubt.
“Why? It was Gray asking them after all.” Yang questioned.
That caught Gray’s attention.
“Hm, I suppose you're right.” Weiss quickly conceded.
Gray didn’t chime in and simply observed that interaction. He waited for more to be said but the girls quickly moved on.
“Can we ask to have bunkbeds?” Nora asked no one in particular.
“Do we really need bunkbeds Nora?” Ren asked, speaking up finally. The pretty girl from the east looked sideways at her ginger friend. The girl looked tired at the thought of bunking with the overly energetic anthropomorphized energy drink.
“Why not? Bunkbeds are cool!” Nora whined.
Meanwhile, Yang was asking the girls of Team RWBY who was going to bunk with who.
Gray just sat back and enjoyed the back and forth. Sitting at a table with eight cute girls was an amazing thing for a young guy like himself, so he took some time to appreciate it.
Not a single one of them was unattractive. Yang was a gorgeous bombshell with her long blonde locks and hot body. A party girl with good mom vibes for her sister. Gray really needed to get the full story of how they were sisters. Plus, she was the only one Gray had sex with so far. She was the one he had lost his virginity to, and he’ll be sleeping with her tonight too.
Ruby was the really cute younger sister that Gray never had. Thankfully she was only one year younger than him because he couldn’t ignore how hot she was under her clothes as well. Gray wanted to simultaneously cuddle her every time he saw her and dote on her like his own little sister, as well as fill up all of her holes and turn her into a panting mess.
A bizarre dichotomy of feelings.
Weiss and Blake were both very pretty girls too. The Schnee Heiress was a somewhat stuck-up brat. A prissy little princess that inspired thoughts of Gray defiling her clean image, of making her filthy with his cock. Of turning her into a subservient obedient girl that either called him Daddy or Master. Gray hadn’t decided which one he would want from her, though he did think she would look amazing in a maid outfit.
Blake was a beautiful bookworm with an elegance to match Weiss and a butt that Gray could worship every day. She was most definitely going to be a pussy cat that he would house train. Sure, that thought might be a little offensive to Faunus people, but it would be a missed opportunity not to put a collar on Blake’s neck.
Team JNPR was also a goldmine full of attractive girls. Jeanne herself was a pretty mix of feminine qualities and a slight tomboy demeanour. Gray could very easily see himself going on dates with her or even just hang out like friends. Still, she was just as hot as Yang, if a lot slimmer. She was definitely someone Gray would have wanted to ask out.
Pyrrha was an unmatched beauty. She had elegance and grace like Weiss and Blake but a toned body from years of constant training. Not to mention how polite and considerate the girl was. That nice behaviour didn’t stop Gray from wanting to paint her athletic body in his lust though.
Nora and Ren were an odd duo. The ginger had a sort of hyperactive girl next door vibe to her. The type of girl that would happily climb trees in the backyard and talk your ear off about anything she thought was cool. Her bouncy nature was only helped by the sizable breasts that bounced along with her. Gray had the incredible urge to give her a facial every time he saw her lightly freckled face and red hair.
Ren was an unlikely friend to the rambunctious ginger. She was so quiet that sometimes Gray forgot she was there. When he did notice her, it was difficult to not see the same quiet grace as Blake. She also had long black hair, along with a pink streak. There was a kind of serenity around her, even when she disparaged Nora. Gray wondered what she would look like when he disrupted that calm feeling with his dick.
“I don’t see why you sisters can’t bunk together. Doesn’t that make the most sense?” Weiss was saying. Her derision for Ruby resurfacing to ruin Gray’s mood.
Gray glanced at Ruby to see her reaction and was just in time to see her face fall a little. It wasn’t by much though. The cold shoulder from the Heiress wasn’t enough to stop her enthusiasm for bunk beds. Still, Gray could see her confidence take a small hit every time the stuck-up girl talked about Ruby.
While Ruby might be trying to cope, Gray was losing patience.
“Weiss.” Gray called out after activating his Semblance. The white-haired girl looked over and the words that Yang was about to say were cut off too. “You will let go of your grudge against Ruby and you will try to get along with her.”
The girl listened to the order and slowly nodded. A subdued, “Okay,” left her lips.
Hopefully that would sort out the issues that these two girls were having. Gray nodded to himself and let his power go.
An awkward moment passed where Gray wasn’t sure if the conversation would resume, but Yang filled the gap.
“Why can’t we bunk with our partners from initiation? The teachers did say that we’ll be spending four years together, so why not spend that time getting along with each other, instead of sticking with what’s familiar?” Yang asked a very logical question.
Gray watched Weiss and saw her think it over. Gone was the haughtiness and in its place was a tired resignation. “Alright, I guess that makes sense.”
“Cool.” Yang responded. She got the response that she wanted. Gray expected there to be even a little bit of surprise that Weiss gave in and conceded the point, but everyone just accepted the moment. Perhaps his power made them all understand that she wasn’t going to continue making trouble after his order. It also made him think of the earlier comment Weiss made about being surprised that the headmaster allowed them to have bunkbeds, then Yang acted like it was normal if it was Gray doing the asking.
It made him wonder if his powers worked retroactively or not. Or was Weiss’ surprise just her being conversational?
Gray might have to test things like that later. If he can’t figure that out then it might lead to potential misunderstandings later. Gray was leaning more towards the idea that Weiss was just talking for the sake of talking, rather than there being a potential flaw in his power, but better to be safe than sorry.
The conversation had picked up again while he was pondering.
The girls were now planning out the layout of the room. Where would the beds go? Where would they put Weiss’ extra dressers? How many more desks could they fit into the dorm room? That sort of thing.
Gray once again just sat and enjoyed being a part of a group of girls. The sight was fulfilling by itself. Eventually he was brought back into the conversation, this time by Ruby.
“So, when was all this going to happen? How long do we have to wait?” She asked Gray. Her full excitement was back as her eyes sparkled with expectation.
With amusement, Gray told her, “I should receive a message from them when time is available. So, don’t expect it to happen overnight.”
“Obviously. Teachers cannot just fulfil students wishes on a whim without proper planning.” Weiss declared; her prissy nature clearly intact.
“Okay, so what do we do with our stuff for tonight?” Ruby asked back.
That left all of Team RWBY in silence as they pictured what they could do to keep their room clean until they got new beds.
“We could put all of Weiss’ stuff and my books in the middle for now.” Blake suggested. A pretty good suggestion.
“Hmm, yeah that does seem like the best option.” Yang agreed. “Weiss’ stuff does take up the most space.”
“You’re not blaming me, are you?” Weiss grumbled.
“Nobody needs that many clothes, Weiss.” Yang threw back casually. Weiss was about to respond, her mouth open in indignation when Yang suddenly spoke again. “Oh, but wait! What do we do about the meditation tonight? Can’t use the floor if there’s nowhere to sit. Would the beds work?”
That had Gray’s attention. He really wanted them to get that meditation done. He didn’t mind only having Yang to bang...
Heh.
She was definitely one of the hottest girls he had ever met. He could handle having sex with just her for a little bit, but...
Wow, Gray really did sound greedy, even to himself. Before he had this power, he would have been more than happy scoring a girl like Yang or Jeanne. Just having a girlfriend at all would have been a huge deal. Still... he really wanted them. All eight of them.
Gray was absolutely going to burn in the afterlife for this. If you believed in that sort of thing.
“Why don’t you guys come over to our room, since we’re also going to meditate?” Jeanne offered to the girls of RWBY.
Gray breathed a sigh of relief. That was a great save by his new girlfriend. He could kiss her. In fact, he might do that later tonight.
“Slumber party?!” Nora exclaimed right away.
“It's for meditation Nora.” Ren cut in, not missing a beat.
“A meditation slumber party!”
Only half listening to Nora’s excitement, Gray imagined eight girls in one dorm room sitting cross-legged on the floor in some comfortable clothes, like pyjamas. The image was simultaneously cute and incredibly sexy. That many girls in one room barely big enough to accommodate them, and Gray, the sole male amongst them...
The thought was reviving his libido.
He looked at his scroll to check the time. Dinner was about fifteen minutes away. That seemed like enough time to try a little something perverted. Gray held onto his scroll and activated his Semblance before ducking underneath the table.
Yay, upskirt time!
Semblance Of Normality
The Ultimate Stealthy Huntsman
Gray will be starting at Beacon Academy and has only just discovered his Semblance. Oddly, it seems to be somehow underwhelming, until he learns its true power. All of Remnant will be at his fingertips.
