Chapter 3 by Zeebop Zeebop

What does Lois do next?

Lois Makes A Friend

"Lois Lane," the reporter said, extending a hand.

"Luma Lynai," her new friend said, pressing her palm to the reporter's...and lingering there for a moment.

The hand that clasped her was slim, strong. The soft, pink arms were bare to the shoulder, the hourglass body squeezed into a white dress that ended in mid-thigh. Standing up, in her white heels, she was as tall as Lois was sitting on the tall bar stool. Yet where Lois Lane's locks were straight and black, Luma Lynai's hair was wavy and golden blonde, the eyes as blue as a clear sky on a summer day.

"You're not from Metropolis," Lois said, noticing the slight accent to the blonde's English. Luma smiled, her pink lipstick glossy in the bar light.

"No, I'm from...out of town. Is it common here for beautiful women to drink alone?" LUma said, batting her eyelashes.

Lois couldn't repress a smile at the sly compliment. She patted a stool next to hers.

"Join me," she said.

With impossible ease, Luma slid onto the seat. For a fraction of a second, it almost looked as if she has levitated onto it. Then she was there, right next to Lois, a bare knee pressed into the reporter's own...and Lois felt, oddly, no self-conscious desire to remove it. There was something about this Luma Lynai that inspired trust...a sort of lingering familiarity she could not place.

Cocktail glasses appeared. The two women raised them, clinked, sipped. Lois was keenly aware of the other woman's eyes wandering over her body.

"What brings you here?" Luma asked as she set her drink down.

On Zod's Spaceship

"General!" Faora said. "It's her! The Starylian! She's made contact with the Terran."

Zod stroked his goatee.

"This could be the opportunity we were waiting for..." he said.

Does Zod continue to monitor the situation, or act?
