Lois Lane

The helicopter’s rotor blades sliced through the icy Canadian air as Lois Lane peered out of the window. Below, an endless expanse of white stretched toward the horizon, broken only by a cluster of low, camouflaged buildings surrounded by barbed wire. The isolation of the military camp was palpable, a lonely outpost hidden from prying eyes.

As the helicopter touched down, a pair of figures emerged from a nearby tent, their heavy coats billowing in the cold wind. One was a gruff-looking man in military fatigues, his posture rigid, his eyes sharp beneath the brim of his cap. Colonel Nathan Hardy. Beside him stood an older man with glasses and a lined face, a thick scarf wrapped tightly around his neck. Professor Emil Hamilton, the scientific consultant Lois had heard so much about.

Lois stepped out of the helicopter, the biting wind cutting through her coat. Normally she wouldn't be wearing much but the temperature required full body covering. She clutched her notebook and recorder tightly, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on her. This wasn’t just another assignment. Whatever was happening here, it was big enough to warrant secrecy and the presence of top military and scientific minds.

“Miss Lane,” Hardy greeted her, his voice clipped and professional as he extended a gloved hand. “Welcome to the middle of nowhere.”

“Colonel Hardy,” Lois replied, shaking his hand before turning to Hamilton. “And Professor Hamilton, I presume?”

Hamilton smiled faintly, his breath fogging in the freezing air.

“I’ve read your work, Miss Lane. You have a knack for getting to the truth.”

“That’s why I’m here,” she replied. “So, what’s this all about? What are you hiding out here?”

Hardy’s expression didn’t waver, but Hamilton glanced toward the largest tent in the camp, where armed guards stood vigilant at the entrance.

“It'd be easier to show you.” Hamilton started to make his way over to the tent and both Hardy and Lois followed.

Entering the tent, Lois found the place was filled with equipment and soldiers. The majority of the staff were men but there were a few women, dressed in layers for the weather but their pants having zippers to open up the entire crotch area.

Damn, Lois wished she had thought of that.

Hamilton led Lois to a computer, which displayed a satellite map of an area only a mile or two away from the camp. Hamilton pointed to a black spot on the otherwise white snowy landscape.

“This,” Hamilton started. “This is an object we discovered three weeks ago, it's massive and based on the age of the ice around it, it's been there for 18,000 years.”

“What?” Lois asked, taken aback by the revelation. “Well, do you know what it is?”

Hamilton opened his mouth to answer but stopped, looking at something over Lois’ shoulder before continuing.

“We're not sure yet, we have no current working theories but we will keep you updated,” Hamilton lied.

“Alright.” Looking back over her shoulder, Lois found it was a glare from Hardy that brought about Hamilton's hesitation.

There was definitely something going on here, something that Hardy didn't want Lois to know right away. Well fine, Lois would figure it out on her own, she was a reporter and she'd be reporting on something. For the time being, she needed to get Hardy to underestimate her, so…

“Well in the meantime, I'm pretty hungry.” Lois turned to Hardy. “Anyone here willing to fill me up?”

The question seemed to catch the attention of every man in the tent, except Hardy, whose professional attitude remained intact.

“Take your pick, I'm sure they'll all be happy to help you out.”

Hardy went to walk away but stopped next to Hamilton, leaning in so he could whisper in his ear.

“Get the drill ready, I want this thing out of the ice double time.”

Clark fucked Chrissy an extra two time before leaving her place, now with a set of clothes that fit him, which apparently belonged to her ex-boyfriend. He just needed to find a way out of town now. To accomplish this, Clark went over to the local bar. He had great success in the past at bars, convincing truckers to help him get from place to place.

Entering into the bar, Clark found the place was mostly empty.

A pair of naked women dropped off drinks while a third naked woman poured them behind the bar counter. Yet none of the men seemed interested, focusing more on nursing their drinks or their quiet conversations.

Clark was prepared to leave but one of the conversations caught his attention.

It was a conversation between two soldiers, talking about how they were being posted in some base camp out in the middle of nowhere, since something had been discovered out there.

Clark went and sat down not too far from the two, listening in for the rest of the conversation.
