Lois Lane and the Daily Planets

Metropolis, Earth-69

In her apartment, Lois Lane groggily turned off her alarm, the sound cutting through the morning calm. As she begrudgingly climbed out of her comfy queen-sized bed, she couldn't help but look at it. Like so many times before, Lois couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing.

Before she could dwell anymore on it, her second alarm on her phone went off. Lois saved those thoughts for later, as she often did, and went to get ready for the day.

After making sure she had her essentials, (phone, reporter badge, audio recorder, etc.), Lois left her apartment and power-walked her way to the Daily Planet. Well, maybe it's time for a small name change, she thought to herself, glancing up to look at the Other Earth. Admittedly, she found the sight of it awe-inspiring like everyone else at first, but she quickly adjusted.

Just before she arrived at work, she got a text message, opening up to see it was from Wonder Woman.

WW: Hey, Lois, how are you doing? I had some JS business in Metropolis, and I was wondering if you were free for lunch.

Lois grinned as she quickly typed her reply.

Lois: Hey, Wondie. Doing great, just getting to the Planet. Gotta get this story on the Wayne-Stark joint done, but yeah, I'm free for lunch.

Putting her phone in her bag, she entered the main lobby, and headed to the main elevator. However, before she could get in it, somebody bumped into her.

“Hey, watch it!” Lois said.

“Oh, god, I'm so sorry,” replied the young woman, now picking up a few papers she had been holding onto from the floor.

Lois had half a mind to just walk away, but she observed the young woman in front of her, something about her oddly interesting...
