Liz ends the night early so you go looking elsewhere

You make the offer, “How about a night cap at my place?”

Liz considers this for a moment. You can feel her hesitation. Perhaps you pushed too far.

“That’s a sweet thought, Connor. But I’m starting to feel absolutely wiped. I think I’ll just head home.”

You hug her once more and then she heads off on her own. But you aren’t ready to call it a night so you do a quick search of the neigbourhood on your phone. There’s a few bars and clubs within walking distance, and you’re dressed well enough for a night out. So you pick a spot and head on over.

It soon becomes clear that it was a good call. You meet a group of coeds from the local college. You hit it off with one of them, an English major on a volleyball scholarship, and after one too many drop shots you end up sharing a ride back to her place. It’s a shared house just outside of the campus, and she isn’t the only one of her roommates who brought someone home judging by the sounds coming from the other rooms.

You’re very drunk by this point and a lot of it is a blur. But you do know you filled a couple condoms while fucking in her bed and possibly up against the wall. At one point you think you may have drunkenly called her Liz but she was too blitzed to either care or notice. You know the reason she caught your eye was her blonde hair and athletic build.

The night ends well enough for you. But you know in your heart it isn’t what you really wanted.
