Lisa trades stolen purchases for articles of Erica's clothing.

Lisa reached into one of the bags that she'd taken and rummaged around inside it. "Let's see what we've got in here to work with," she said excitedly. "Obviously, the clothes won't be useful," she said analytically as she switched from one bag to another. "What about this?"

She pulled out the new Kindle that Erica had bought for her mom as a gift. "Put that back," she demanded. Erica's voice cracked as she came close to tears.

Lisa examined the Kindle. "How did you know that I wanted a Kindle, Erica?" she asked.

"I bought it for my mom," Erica explained.

"How sweet," Lisa mocked me. "I guess that means that you really want this back, huh?" Erica nodded. "Maybe I can give it back. I'll want something else in exchange."

"You guys took all my stuff," Erica pointed out.

"Not everything," Alicia retorted.

"That's right. I'll give you back the Kindle if you give me your shoes," Lisa said.
