The following week, The Unfiltered Hour returned with a very different energy.

Lena and Tara were glowing. Both hosts looked genuinely excited as they welcomed their new guests onto the show. The vibe was warm, playful, and almost celebratory — like two girlfriends having their favorite people over for drinks.

“Everyone, we are so excited for today’s episode,” Lena said, smiling wide. “Last week we had Mark on to talk about his viral LinkedIn post and how he turned a very personal situation into business lessons. Today, we’re hearing the other side of the story.”

Tara leaned forward, grinning. “And we couldn’t be happier to have the two people who actually lived it. Please welcome Sarah… and Jake.”

Sarah (Mark’s wife) and Jake (his best friend) sat comfortably across from them. Sarah looked relaxed and pretty in a simple dress, while Jake had that easy, confident energy of someone who knew he was welcome here. Both were smiling.

Lena turned to them warmly. “First of all, thank you both so much for coming on. We had Mark last week and… well, let’s just say the energy was very different. It’s so nice to finally hear from the two of you.”

Tara laughed lightly. “Yeah, last week was intense. This week feels like we’re just catching up with friends. So let’s start from the beginning — how did this whole thing actually start between you two?”

Sarah glanced at Jake with a small, knowing smile before answering. “It kind of happened naturally. We’d always gotten along really well, and one night it just… crossed the line. After that it was hard to stop.”

Jake shrugged, smiling. “We tried to be careful at first, but it got harder to hide. Eventually we just stopped trying so hard.”

Lena nodded, looking genuinely interested. “And when Mark found out? How did that conversation go from your side?”

Sarah let out a soft laugh. “It was awkward at first. He came home early and heard us. Then he waited downstairs like nothing happened until we came down. When we talked, he was… surprisingly calm. He kept saying he wanted to work through it and find the ‘lessons’ in it.”

Tara covered her mouth, already smiling. “We heard about that part. He told us he stood in the hallway listening and then went downstairs to wait.”

Jake chuckled. “Yeah. That was… something. We were expecting him to be angry, but he just wanted to talk about growth and understanding.”

Lena shook her head, amused. “And then he wrote the LinkedIn post. How did you two feel when you saw it?”

Sarah smiled, almost fondly. “At first I was embarrassed. But then when it went viral and people started commenting, it became kind of funny. He turned the whole thing into sales advice. Jake and I were reading the comments together and just… laughing.”

Jake nodded. “It was actually pretty well written, in a weird way. The analogies were creative.”

Tara grinned. “And now he wants to turn it into a whole advisory career. Courses, speaking, all of it. He mentioned last week that you two suggested splitting the profits because you were the ‘original content.’ How did that conversation happen?”

Sarah exchanged a look with Jake, both of them looking relaxed.

“We sat him down and explained it pretty clearly,” Sarah said. “If he’s going to build a business off what happened between us, it only makes sense that we get a cut. Like royalties. We walked him through it slowly so he understood.”

Jake added, “We also told him that if he tried to cut us out, we’d have to protect our interests. Legally, if needed.”

Lena and Tara both laughed at that — warm, delighted laughter, not mocking.

“Oh my god, you actually had the royalties talk with him,” Tara said, grinning. “That’s amazing. And he agreed?”

Sarah nodded. “He did. He said it made sense once we explained it.”

Lena looked between them, still smiling. “So right now, Mark is planning to build this whole brand around the story of his wife cheating on him with his best friend… while giving both of you a percentage of the profits. And you two are just… living your life.”

Jake shrugged with a small smile. “Pretty much. He’s free to do whatever he wants with the story. We just think it’s fair we get compensated for being part of it.”

Tara leaned back, shaking her head with amusement. “This is honestly the most wholesome cuckold arrangement I’ve ever heard of. You’re all just… making it work. With spreadsheets.”

Lena laughed again. “Exactly. Last week Mark was trying to frame everything as serious business lessons. This week it feels like we’re just talking to two people who are having fun and being practical about it.”

She turned back to Sarah and Jake with genuine warmth.

“So tell us… what’s it actually like on your side? Being the ‘other part of the story’ while Mark turns it into content?”

Sarah smiled, relaxed and open.

“It’s been interesting,” she said. “But honestly? We’re just enjoying ourselves.”

Jake nodded, looking completely at ease.

“Yeah,” he said. “We’re having fun with it.”

Lena and Tara both smiled, clearly delighted to have them there. The contrast with last week’s episode couldn’t have been more obvious.

Tara leaned in with a warm, almost conspiratorial smile, like she was catching up with girlfriends over wine.

“So… we have to ask,” she said lightly. “Last week Mark told us you two were still together. But there’s been a lot of talk online, and honestly, we’ve been dying to hear it from you. Is there actually a divorce happening? And if so… is it already finished? Who’s getting what?”

Sarah glanced at Jake with a small smile before answering, completely relaxed.

“Yeah, we’re getting divorced,” she said simply. “It’s not fully finalized yet, but it’s moving pretty quickly. We’re not fighting over anything, so it’s been pretty smooth.”

Lena’s eyebrows lifted, though she kept her tone friendly and curious. “Really? That’s surprising after everything. Most people in this situation would be at each other’s throats.”

Sarah shrugged. “Mark’s been… cooperative. He didn’t want a messy fight. He kept saying he wanted to handle it maturely and focus on the ‘lessons.’ So we’re just working through the paperwork.”

Tara tilted her head, still smiling. “And who’s getting what, if you don’t mind us asking? Are you two splitting things evenly, or…?”

Sarah let out a small laugh, exchanging another look with Jake.

“I’m keeping the house,” she said. “Mark agreed to that pretty easily. He’s also giving me a big portion of our savings and investments. We’re still figuring out the exact numbers, but it’s looking like I’ll walk away with the majority of the liquid assets. He didn’t push back much.”

Jake added casually, “He said he wanted to make sure Sarah was taken care of. That it was the right thing to do after everything.”

Lena and Tara both laughed — warm, delighted laughter, not cruel, but clearly amused by how one-sided it sounded.

“Oh my god,” Tara said, shaking her head with a grin. “So he’s basically handing over the house and most of the money while he’s over there building this whole new ‘advisor career’ off the story of you two getting together?”

Sarah nodded, smiling. “Pretty much. He even said something about how it’s ‘fair’ because of how things played out. And with the profit split from his new content business on top of that… he’s been very generous.”

Lena leaned back, still smiling. “So let me get this straight. Mark is divorcing, giving you the house and most of the assets, agreeing to keep paying you and Jake a cut of whatever money he makes from turning your relationship into ‘business lessons’… and he’s doing all of this while still trying to position himself as the mature, strategic one?”

Jake chuckled. “That’s about the size of it.”

Tara looked between Sarah and Jake, eyes sparkling with amusement.

“You two are living in his house, getting a huge chunk of his money in the divorce, and taking a percentage of his new business… while he’s the one posting LinkedIn content about personal growth.” She let out a soft laugh. “Sarah, you’re not just winning the divorce. You’re winning the whole arrangement.”

Sarah smiled, relaxed and unbothered.

“I mean… he offered,” she said lightly. “We just didn’t say no.”

Lena shook her head, still grinning.

“This is honestly the most civilized, profitable cuckold divorce I’ve ever heard of,” she said. “Most people get bitter. You three turned it into a revenue stream.”

Tara looked back at Sarah and Jake with genuine warmth.

“Well, for what it’s worth… we’re happy for you two. You seem really good together. And Mark… well. He seems like he’s finding his own way to process it.”

She paused, then added with a playful smile:

“Even if that way is paying for everything while you two keep living your life.”

Sarah and Jake both laughed softly.
