Link has Zelda turn him into a young woman, and be the next target.

It took a lot of thought to decide on this course of action, but Link could not live with himself if he put another person's life at risk trying to stop this criminal. For that reason, he told Zelda that he himself would be the bait in the trap.

Zelda frowned, but Link could see the gears turning in her head. "Hmm. An identity changing spell like that could be very dangerous, Link. The more people know about this plan, the more likely it is the criminal will discover it and won't take the bait. That means you and I can be the only ones who know about this. That means that if something happens to me, or if you are unable to contact me, you will be stuck as this other person for some time. Are you okay with that risk."

He didn't even have to think before replying that yes, he was ready indeed.

"Alright then, if you think it's necessary." Zelda laid out three different dossiers on the table. "These are the three identities I've come up with for the plan. The first is Elizabeth." Link opened the folder and saw an artist's depiction of a woman with a noble's bearing, long brown hair, immaculate clothes and makeup, and a conservative fashion sense that revealed nothing. "She would be a noblewoman visiting us from Labrynna. She is too haughty and arrogant to accept my protection by staying in the palace, and so would be renting an apartment in the town near where the last victim was robbed. She would have the best chance to see me if you needed to change back suddenly.

"The second is Margery," Zelda said, opening the second dossier. This woman had bright, red hair, tanned skin, and wore leather armor that showed off her muscles and curves in equal measure. "A traveling mercenary for hire, she would be hired by a local baron to protect his business from what he believes to be a saboteur. She had a hot temper, and enjoys food, drink, and sex whenever possible, which is why she would be taking the same apartment as Elizabeth, which is just a block away from a tavern. As her, you would be able to defend yourself easier.

"The third is Tawdry," Zelda continued, opening the third dossier. This young woman was clearly only barely an adult, and had the look of a commoner. Her inexpensive clothes, did little to hide her soft curves, and her blonde hair was worn in pigtails. "She is moving here from Kakariko Village, having accepted a job as a barmaid at a local tavern, which just so happens to be one block away from her new apartment, the same one that could belong to Margery or Elizabeth. She is clumsy, naive, and curious, easy to take advantage of in this big city. She fits the attacker's M.O. the best."

Link looked at the three dossiers, trying to make a decision.
