What's next?

Lindsey's perspective

The School day was pure hell for Gina. Unfortunately, I shared the same class as Gina. I hate her because she bullied my brother, David, into suicide and abuses her brother, Tom, who I happen to be the girlfriend of. Even worse was that lackey of her's, Susan, being in this class. Actually, having Lauren in this class might be worse. She might not have been a Gina lackey but she controlled her own faction in this school and was only slightly better than Gina. I was seething with rage as I entered the classroom, feeling a familiar ache in my heart for David. Gina slouched in her chair, rolling her eyes as the teacher droned on about a topic she found irrelevant. As the day came to an end, I left the classroom alongside Steve.

"Gina's been acting weird," Steve said.

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, she always does. It's called 'being Gina.'"

"But I mean, it's more than usual," Steve persisted. "She didn't even bother to bully anyone today."

It was true. Gina had been unusually quiet and subdued during the class, which was uncharacteristic of her.

"Apparently, she lost a bet with Marcie," I said.

"Marcie?" Steve asked, raising an eyebrow.

I shrugged, "Yeah, I don't know the details."

I couldn't help but wonder what was going on between Gina and Marcie. Our conversation was interrupted when we noticed Gina storming out of her classroom, her eyes blazing with anger. What could possibly be going on between Gina and Marcie? It seemed uncharacteristic for Gina to make any bet with Marcie or to actually honour it.

After Mr. Richardson's lesson on European history finished, I saw Gina heading up to the roof. This was odd. She normally has lackeys with her. But she was alone. She didn't even have Susan with her.

"Something's off. I wanna see what's going on," Tom said.

As Steve, Tom and I approached the staircase leading up to the roof, I could barely make out Gina's voice through the walls. It seemed like she was arguing with someone, and the tone of her voice suggested that she wasn't happy about it. I heard her talking with what appeared to be Marcie Storm. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Gina. She was actually apologizing to Marcie! This was unheard of. We then heard footsteps coming down and hid. As the footsteps grew closer, my heart raced with curiosity. Who could it be? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Marcie come down the stairs. She looked like she had just won a victory. Marcie was someone who was usually quiet and kept to herself, often the target of Gina's bullying. Seeing her come down the stairs with such a smug look on her face made me wonder what was going on between them.

As she passed us, I heard her whisper, "I got what I wanted."

My curiosity was piqued; what could Gina have possibly bet with Marcie?

I decided to approach Marcie, curiosity getting the better of me. "Hey, Marcie. What was that all about?" I asked casually.

Marcie turned to me, looking all shy. "Oh, hey, Lindsey. I don't really want to talk about it. It's just... personal."

I was taken aback by her reaction. Marcie was never this talkative or friendly. "Okay, no problem. I just saw you talking to Gina, and she seemed really angry. Is everything okay?"

Marcie let out a small laugh, "Oh, Gina? Yeah, everything's fine. We made a bet."

Marcie walked off. I got back into my hiding position as I heard footsteps from the roof.

Suddenly, Gina stormed out of the staircase completely naked, her eyes blazing with anger. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Gina, the girl who always had everything under control, was completely naked and humiliated. I had never seen her like this before. I couldn't help but stare as Gina stormed past me, her face beet red with embarrassment.

"What happened?" Tom asked, his voice shaky with curiosity.

I didn't know what to say. All I could do was stare at Gina's retreating figure. "I... I don't know. But something tells me we're in for one hell of a ride."
