Liliana the Dryad?

Liliana's eyes blinked open, she was blinded by white light and instinctively reach up to cover it. She saw an IV in her left arm, and a wristband on her right. Her eyesight was still blurred as she tried to make sense of where she was. Her arms were coated in dry dirt. She sat up and realized she had been lying naked on a gurney! She immediately covered herself and looked around, seeing 2 blobs wearing lab coats. One stood up and approached her.

"Hi there... I'm not sure you can understand me. I'm Dr. Natalie Brown, and this is Dr. Maximilian Moore. He found you out by the lake and insists you are a Dryad. However, you seem too human for that. Can you respond?" A woman Liliana couldn't quite make out the facial features of said.

"Maodie sicydk." Liliana began before catching herself. The numbness hasn't gone away!

"Hmm. She seems to understand what we say..."Dr. Brown said.

Liliana nodded and bothe doctors smiled.

"Okay. You understand us, but you have an irregular speech pattern..." Dr. Brown seemed to say a bit loud for just them to hear...

Unbeknownst to Liliana, Natalie is Maximiian's show runner, and to prove the existence of a Dryad, they wanted a huge audience. They were currently live streaming her naked body around the world! They weren't trying to disprove their hypothesis at all. They wanted everyone around the world that she is the first Dryad to be discovered.

For hours, they had Liliana do basic movements. Running in place, hopping, crawling, jumping, and star jumps. Sje preformed all very well, as she was an athlete after all. However, the internet soon took notice and the hashtag #Dryad was trending. News outlets showed her picture and the scientific world was flabbergasted as they saw her. All of her. Live!

it wasn't until that night that in the evening news, Liliana's parents were watching as her mther tapped her father on the shoulder to say "doesn't that Dryad look like outer Liliana?"

They dismissed it, but her friends got word of it the next morning and tried calling wjr, to no avail. They tried the "Find My Phone" feature, and a search was conducted. They found her backpack, and followed the evidence (her clothes) to the lake. Tire tracks were found, and traced to Maximilian Moore. In a matter of 36 hours, They found Liliana. The police arrived to shut down the live stream and her parents arrived to confirm.

"Liliana, is it you?" Her mom asked.

The naked blonde covered and blushed, but was so glad to see her and nodded.

"The Dryad's name is Liliana?" Maximillian asked.

Liliana's mom smacked him it the head.

"Shes fully human you nincompoop!" She shouted, and it was broadcast across the world, and the internet quickly retraced everything, but the naked images of the "Dryad" were already out there, and Liliana was none the wiser.

Her parents escorted her hom after she showered and had a decent meal. The numbness in her mouth subsided. And she was ready to go back to school a week later than expected. Her friends and teammates greeted her and were all happy she was safe and sound. However, it was hwr old rival Susan that brought some disquieting news to her.

"Hey, did you hear about the Dryad?" She asked.

Liliana, recognizing the name, but unsure why anyone else would know, shook her head. Susan appeared somber and then showed Liliana the images and videos of "The Dryad". Of course, Liliana recognized it was her, and blushed.

"I think she was pretty brave. To face a bear and love to tell the tale. I think she was strong. To live off the plants and not be so careless to injure herself. I think she is an aging creature." Susan said.

Liliana looked at her old rival, and instead of resentment, saw respect and solidarity. She smiled at Susan, and the two shared an embrace.

"And it's with those sentiments, that we have rebranded our team." Liliana's coach announced.

The puzzled blonde watched as they unfurled a new banner for their team mascot.

"Henceforth, Westford will be known as...The Dryads!" She announced to the cheers of liliana's teammates.

The blonde captain blushed as the mascot was her, but instead of her naked body, it was her silhouette as it lay across the log. Unmistakably her. And it would be on her uniform for the rest of her time at the university, possibly longer.

"We also wanted to change our mascot to show our new pledge to no longer be heated rivals. Somertown will now be known as The Knites!" The Somertown coach announced.

Liliana was again shocked to see a mascot based on her, but this was her face, stylized to be more mascot-like, but it was her...

"I..I don't know what to say!" Liliana blushed as she saw her face and body objectified.

"You don't need to say anything. We're all with you. Your teammates and friends." Susan said, holding out her hand.

Liliana took it and the two pulled each other in for a hug.

"So does this mean everyone has seen me naked?" Liliana asked Susan.

"The school? The whole WORLD has!" Susan replied, hugging her friend harder as she felt Liliana's legs go weak.

Truly a new era for our heroine, and everyone who adores her. Whether it be her athleticism, her perseverance, or the fact she looks good naked.

Liliana was still their "Knite" in shining armor!
