Lilah isnt stupid

"I think not." Lilah shook her head. "Merely making you aware that Lothos, Nest, Kakistos, the Judge, Angelus and, recently, a sorcerer who had ascended into the form of Olvikan all died facing this Slayer. The hows and whys are all in this file." Lilah gestured to a second file on her desktop.

Vok raised his opinion of this Slayer. He had known some of those named, knew of others and had researched what ascension into an Old One involved, which was way too costly in terms of power, time and money. He had been content to merely achieve demonic status.

Still he knew how to find the hidden weaknesses of implacable women. Hanging around his neck was the amulet known as the Eye of Ottomaga. A nifty little magical tinket he had found in a mirror dimension of an alternate earth he had spent some time in. With the Eye he could reveal the deepest darkest secrets of those he looked at. Much easier to find pressure points to use against people when they were conveniently labeled. And all Vok had to do to get this little trinket was kill one whimpy sorcerer with delusions of grandeur... Sorcerer Supreme, HA!

"The other file." Vok held his hand up for it.

The little strumpet Eve picked it up off Lilah's desk and flouncing over delivered it to Vok's hand with a smile. "Here you go, sir."

With a grunt of acknowledgement Vok put the second file on his lap and opened the files on his target. He did a brief overview of what was in the file on the Slayer and her team. Slayer, Watcher, Witch, Fool, Werewolf and the Slayer's own mother.

Interesting.

And then there were the question marks, those who had left the Slayer's ranks recently. The Cheerleader, Vampire with a soul and another Slayer. Two of those were currently in Los Anegeles and the other was comatose and defenseless.

Very interesting.

Angel might prove difficult. Might. Angelus still lurked somewhere in that body. The Cheerleader Cordelia wouldnt be that difficult, a rich daddy's girl Californian? Almost child's play, the young could be unpredictable tho. And a comatose Slayer. Comatose! That was just wet clay waiting to be molded by his expert hand.

But then there was the Slayer's Inner circle. There were several weak points there. The Fool, Alexander, would be easy to tempt being a teenage boy. The Werewolf, Oz, had a beast just waiting to break free inside of him. And then there was the Slayer's Mother who was just your average lonely middle aged woman. He could break a hundred middle aged women before breakfast.

Lilah ruined his musing as she held up another file. "There is a complicated situation in Sunnydale, currently, that you need to be made aware of."

"Oh yes?" Vok raised an eyebrow.

"This is all we have on a black ops military operation currently ongoing inside Sunnydale town limits." Lilah gave the file to Eve who with a smile transfered itnto Vok's hands.

Vok rolled his eyes. Secret military black ops programs always ended badly. Another thing he had experienced in that mirror dimension of an alternate earth. The Weapon too stupid to live program, he scoffed. The morons involved in that debacle deserved to be disembowled by their little lab rat.

Perusing the file he had been given he laughed outloud. "Oh, this is going to end messily. Demon human robot hybrids? What idiot thought that this was a good idea?"

The Wolfram and Hart people all gave noncommittal response shrugs. Lilah gestured to the file, "It should be in the file."

Keeping his eyes on the file Vok scanned for the 'genuis' behind this Project Initiative. He hmmed when he found his answer. A woman. Margaret Walsh. Several Doctorates. And currently using working at the Slayer's chosen college as a Professor as a cover for her black ops project. Which meant she did just so happen to have a position of power over the Slayer. Interesting.

"I'll take the job." Vok decided.

"Excellent." Lilah smiled at him with her best rehearsed Lawyer smile. "When will you begin?"

"Soon. I need to check out a few things with my own eyes first." Vok gestured to the files they had given. "Trust but verify after all."

"Of course." Lilah gave a respectful bowing of her head.
