Like clockwork, Gilly returns

“Guess who found gold!” Gilly turns the corner entering back into your part of the cave.

“Gilly where the heck you been?” You say slightly annoyed at his disappearance.

“Doesn’t matter cause I found gold!” Gilly skips over to Petra and presents a… rock?

“It’s a rock?” Petra says confused.

“Look closer!” Upon closer inspection it appears to be a slightly shiny rock. Fools’ gold by the looks of it. You begin to crack up once the realization sets in.

“Hah! You brought Petra fools gold lad!” Gilly begins to protest but the mutual laughter between you and Petra drowns him out.

After further banter, the three of you redress and fill Gilly in on what happened while he was away.

“You said it was a spriggan Iyda? That’s awesome! Can I see it?”

“Hah! Think I can speak for both Petra and I when I say that was enough excitement fer the day. We should get back to town.”

“Yeah, no arguments here.” Petra says quietly. Eventually you begin making your way up and out of the cave. Daylight partially blinds you as you take in the fresh smell of the early evening air outside.

“Hey guys.” Gilly says with a sly look on his face. “What do you think was down the other tunnel?”

You shrug. “No clue but considerin’ what was down our way, not sure I wanna tango with whatever might be up that way.”

The lot of you happily chatter about the excitement of the day’s events. Upon reaching town you say your goodbyes to Petra and Gilly before making your way to the Inn for the night.
