Andy walked with Elaine and Leah to the latter's room which, conveniently, was the one closest to the lift they had arrived at the floor in. Elaine was genuinely interested in hearing about Andy too and, although he had always thought his existence up until the magical time travelling escapes he couldn't talk about had been pretty boring and relatively uneventful, she had a way of bringing his innermost thoughts and feelings to he surface. The conversation only came to a close when Elaine could no longer keep her eyes open and drifted off to sleep with her head rested on his shoulder.

Andy awoke the next morning alone in Elaine's room. That was weird, where had she gone? To lectures for the next several hours? Did she really trust him that much already that she would leave him alone in there with all of her personal stuff?

What time was it anyway?

Andy fumbled around sleepily until his hand found her alarm clock. A quarter to eight. The academic day didn't even start for more than an hour, so where had she disappeared to?

"Are you actually surprised to see me in my own room?" Elaine smirked as she walked over to Andy and leaned over to give him a kiss good morning.

This was like having a girlfriend.

Maybe that was how he needed to spend his weeks from now on, not just dating these girls but getting a feel for what a proper relationship with them might look like.
