What will she do?
Lied
"...Yes. I can make that." Her friends looked at her with surprise. Sophie knew if there was an Utoness, it would punish her for lying to a clergyman. But the situation was ****. Besides, she had an idea.
"You can?"
"Yes, Sagus, I can," she half-hissed, hoping he would get that she was bluffing. He seemed to, so she continued. "However, i'll need two hours to prepare the potion. And i'll only make it on the condition that you examine the arrow while I do my part, as a show of faith. Deal?"
Aktheus looked over his shoulder at sister Monica. Few other than him knew, but she was very beautiful. Her robes hid her body, but through occasional 'accidental' glances into the church shower room, he became very aware of just how sexy she was. High C-cup breasts, nice round ass, legs that were nothing short of perfect. Long, blond hair, which Aktheus was partial to anyway. He quickly agreed to Sophie's terms. Sophie left to 'make her potion' , while Rebecca and Sagus opted to stay with the arrow, and Marianne decided to stay with the group. As soon as Sophie left, Aktheus asked for the arrow. He looked at it for a moment, closed his eyes and handed the arrow back to Rebecca.
"The power of this arrow is immense. The mages poured their very souls into it."
"That was fast," Rebecca said.
"And it looked easy. I thought you said it would be difficult for you to do that."
"And it was, young man, it was. The soul of a clergyman is weakened in the presence of magical objects." He walked slowly to a pew and sat down. Sagus sat beside him.
"You endured the weakness for sister Monique, didn't you?"
"Yes. For her, I would endure anything. And her name is Monica."
"Father Aktheus?" Marianne spoke with hesitation, a sort of sweetly-shy voice that immediately gave Aktheus a little jolt of energy. "This....this church has bathing facilities, doesn't it?" He confirmed that it did, and Marianne smiled. Her face was covered, but it was obvious. "May we...may we use them? Please? We've not bathed in many days."
'JACKPOT!!' thought Aktheus. "Yes, of course you may. You all may use them. So may your friend the alchemist when she returns." Marianne thanked him enthusiastically and walked quickly to Monica to ask where they were. Rebecca gave a casual 'thanks', and followed. Aktheus stood.
"Excuse me, but I must be getting back to my paperwork now." He started to leave, but Sagus grabbed his shoulder lightly.
"With all due respect, father, i'm sure my companions would prefer it if I keep you in view."
