Lick your... wounds

The climb down the tree was arduous, but you somehow made it safely to the floor of the forest. You want nothing more than to rest your aching limbs, but there are two tasks of dire importance at hand: you need to find both Aegis and the holy sword. The weapon was lost during the fight with the spiders near the top of the forest canopy when it was pulled out of your grasp. That was when your daemonic instinct clicked and you learned the trick with your new talons. It's a wonderful talent to protect yourself, but you'd prefer the weight of the blade in your hands.

You don't see the sword anywhere nearby, so you'll need to do a thorough search of the area. But first, you're more concerned about your mount. You're not sure where he is anymore after climbing up to the Ettercap's nest, but based on your own experience with the spider venom, Aegis can't be doing well on his own.

Indra is still on your back when you try to make your way back in the direction that you think your battle earlier took place. You'd love to set her down so that she can follow you on her own, but you doubt she'd even be able to stand yet.

It only takes a few minutes to make your way back to where you were initially knocked off your steed, and sure enough, the war horse is there, lying on his side, covered in a sheen of sweat and several large spider bites. His breathing is so slow at first that you think he's already lost, but when you kneel down beside him and pat him on the side, his eyes flutter open.

"Easy boy, we're going to take care of you." You set to work at once. Indra is still delirious, but with persistence, you're able to get through to her. Her expertise is apparent, as even semi-conscious, she's able to instruct you how to properly dress and treat the giant spider bites.

When Aegis has been cared for, you turn to the witch. Her clothing is torn, but not beyond repair, there's a nasty bite on her chest, and her womb is full of unfertilized eggs. You make a bed for her, strip her clothes and set them aside to mend later, and then treat her bite in the same manner you treated the stallion's, hoping the process will work as well for Ettercap venom as for spiders.

The eggs would require some tact to remove... if you weren't already so well acquainted with Indra's quim. For those, you happily mash your face between the woman's thighs and stretch your daemonic tongue into her depths. It's no small effort to wrap the tip of your tongue around each egg and coax them out of her, one at a time, but it's a labor of love. Or at least lust. She coos and rocks her body gently despite her exhaustion, and you take some nourishment from her pleasure.

You examine the first egg once you've retrieved it from inside of her womb. It's about half the size of a chicken egg, and semi-translucent. You're happy to squeeze the thing between your fingers until it pops, drooling its slimy contents onto your hands. The rest of them can't be squished like this one too soon, so you dive back between Indra's legs again, pausing only long enough between retrieving each egg to spit them out before going back for more.

It takes a while to finish the job, and all told you were able to retrieve seven eggs. A few final exploratory licks confirm that her belly is empty. Your jaw is sore, and Indra has passed out from a combination of your attentions and her previous ordeal. You let her rest, wrapping her up blankets.

The only remedy you can provide to either of your companions now is time, so you proceed to build your camp right there. You hope that a large enough fire will ward away any monstrous arachnids that might still remain, or any other predators lurking nearby. With the last of your preparations made, all that's left is to retrieve the sword.
