"Do I have to check them out with you?" you joke.

She laughs softly, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Nope, feel free to take whatever catches your eye. Despite the old-school charm, we actually have millions of books on record."

"Through the database?" you ask, intrigued.

"Exactly," she confirms. "I can even print out a book for you if there's something specific you're looking for."

"Thanks, but I think I'll just browse for now," you say, eager to explore on your own.

"Suit yourself," she replies with a smile, then returns to her work, her attention shifting back to the task at hand.

You browse the shelves, scanning the countless titles. Many of them intrigue you, and you mentally note to return to several later.
