Liar, Liar, Furs on... Something

Lauren walked past several tribe members, smirking smugly as she held the flaming branch up for all to see. A few tribe members cowered at the sight of this strange thing, while others stared in awe and curiosity as Lauren stood in the middle of their village, surrounded by the tribe members.

"Lauren!" The Elder said as he and his daughter, a young woman named Monica who Lauren couldn't stand, walked up to the woman. "What this?"

"This Lauren's new discovery!" Lauren said, lying straight through her teeth. "It make tribe warm. It make food warm. It make food tasty. It make light when sun go away."

"Ooh!" The entire tribe said in awe as Lauren stood there smiling, not noticing the embers falling on the back of her furs.

"What Lauren call it?" Monica asked, surprisingly impressed with her rival.

Lauren opened her mouth... Only to close her mouth again as her smile faltered and her eyes went wide. In her big hurry to get out of the cave with Vanessa's new discovery, Lauren didn't even think of a name or even think to stick around long enough to hear what hear what Vanessa was going to call it!

"It fire!"

Lauren and the tribe turned to see Vanessa marching towards her sister angrily. "And Nessa know it fire, because it Nessa's discovery and Nessa named it!"

"Nessa try and steal from Lauren again?" Lauren asked, feigning hurt. "Why Nessa do this to Lauren? All Lauren want is to help tribe!"

"No! Lauren steal from Nessa!" Vanessa screamed in rage, stomping her foot in the dirt as the rest of the tribe muttered amongst themselves. "Lauren, you are - Fire!"

"Now Nessa get it." Lauren smiled smugly as she nodded at her sister, feeling a warmth of pride in her chest at outsmarting her sister again.

Come to think of it, she also felt a warmth near her butt as well...

"No! Fire! Fire!" Vanessa yelled frantically at her sister, pointing behind Lauren.

Curiously, Lauren looked over her shoulders to see that the bottom of her sabertooth furs were emitting the same black smoke as the logs from Vanessa's cave. The elder sister squealed in fear as she tossed the burning branch in the air. The branch landed next to Lauren's hut, but the woman was too terrified to notice.

Grabbing a nearby fern, Lauren fanned the smoking spot in hopes of making the smoke go away. Unfortunately, all this did was cause a small flame to appear as Lauren shrieked in fear and the tribe gasped.

"Nessa! What Lauren do?! What Lauren do?!" Lauren screamed desperately as she ran around in circles, trying to put out the fire.

"Lauren take off furs!" Vanessa yelled, making Lauren stop in her tracks.

"WHAT?!" Lauren yelled in a mixture of anger and fear. Did her sister just tell her to take off her furs? Right here?! In front of the whole tribe?!
