Chapter 12 by Altu5g Altu5g

Become Clair, or continue as your mother?

Let your mother enjoy herself. Be Clair!

You kept the same sad expression on your face even as she took the ring and slipped it on. Keeping quiet, you hid the two other rings deep in Mom's purse so she wouldn' t find them later. You didn' t bother to say sorry again as you gathered my purse and quickly exited the car. Once in front of the spa, you felt your hands tremble. You had just ruined one of Mom's friendships... but you would fix it.

Lifting a hand, you quickly touched the white ring and felt yourself slowly get pulled upward. A soft gasp escaped your Mom's lips as you exited her body, leaving her to enjoy her spa day.

You gasped as you awoke back in your bedroom, but didn't take long to process the room around you. Instead, you looked to the medallion, quickly turning the valve to the green gem and gasping as you felt yourself leave your body once again!

You acted quickly, pulling away from your mom's body and into Clair's as fast as you can. You barely nad time to process all the changes as you suddenly found yourself in the same car you were in moments earlier, but in the driver's sit this time.

Luckily it seems Clair didn't start driving, as hopping in in the middle of that could be dangerous. She seemed to have just been inspecting her new ring, looking down at the beautiful emerald on her finger. Bellow that was a pair of volpterous hips in tight jeans. God, how could you not notice that?

Those hips scream child bearing! Wait, child, what about you mother? You quickly turn your look

You gasped as you wiggled a bit in Clair's seat. Her body was... curvy, but not quite as much as Mom's though. Their hips were equally developed. Still, your hand hung in front of your new face. You still felt some of Clair's indignition about what had been said. She truly loved her son and the idea that someone she liked so much couldn't be bothered to remember him left her boiling. But out of respect for their professional relationship, she kept things calm.

You felt bad, but your attention was snatched by your mother. You quickly turn your look to the right, outside the window, where you see your her in the middle of the the Spa's entryway. She didn't fall or collapse which was a good sign, but she just stood there, seeing all too disoriented. She looked to her sides, as if not sure where she was, before suddenly snapping out of it and continuing to walk as if nothing happened.

Does that mean she remembers everything that just happened? If she didn't, surely she would be more confused than that...

As she slowly regained her senses and kept walking, you loosed a soft gasp. Did her mind.. rationalize what she'd done while possessed? Holy shit... This was a massive development, but you'd have to process this later. You had to pick up Jack.

Thankfully, you knew how to drive, even if you didn't have a driver's license of your own. Since Jack was so young, his daycare was in her recently searched GPS locations. You were grateful for that as you made your way down the road. Driving as safely as possible, you tried to calm down the rage bubbling inside of her. You felt her attention get pulled at each stimuli that popped up, and worst of all you felt a sense of betrayal from Kim...er...Mom.

You arrived at Jack's Daycare, Sunny Smiles. You quickly went through Clair's purse, finding her ID. You learned her full name, Clair Spurson, and familiarized yourself with her info. Birthday, address, her husband's name. Once you were confident in your research, you adjusted you shirt and entered the building.

You were immediately welcomed by a familiar face at the front desk. A short and pudgy black woman who you recognized, but couldn't name. Weirdly enough, even though your instinct was to put on a friendly smile, you felt animosity towards her. It seems Clair didn't really like the woman, and by the nature of things it made you naturally dislike her as well.

"Good to see you Mrs. Spurson, here to pick up Jack?"

You again stop yourself from rolling your eyes. _No I'm here to pick up Georgina. _you find yourself thinking, only to notice that that thought was in Clair's voice. You didn't have much time to focus on that new experience though, as you still had to interact with what's-her-face.

You stared daggers at the woman behind the counter, but as you felt the venom you grew a bit... worried. You didn't want to assume anything, but this was Texas, Clair was a white woman and this secretary was a Black woman. Perhaps Clair wasn't as polite as you thought. You'd have to see how her body reacted to other people of color.

"Wonderful. They're right inside."

You enter the daycare, and your eyes light up when you see Jack. A skinny boy with a brown bowl cut and a face like his mother's. He really was your little angel... Jack notices you, and runs up to you with a wide smile. He hugs you, and you tightly hug him back. "How was your day honey?" You ask. And Jack excitedly responds. What you found strange was the unlike with Kim, your attention was solely focused on your child. You could listen to him talk for hours and still not be bored..

You happily lifted Jack up, resting him on your wide hip and smiling warmly as he spoke. Hearing Clair's voice in your mind felt odd... but perhaps it was another aspect of the rings you couldn' t understand; perhaps Clair's feelings were so strong they were harder to repress with whatever magic the rings used. You had so many questions, but your only concern was safely securing Jack in his car seat.

You felt all of Clair's motherly instincts start to kick in, and realized that you may have had a chance to mind Clair and Mom's issues. Instead of being a more active presence, you simply filled Clair's mind with thoughts of forgiveness while you took in Jack's every word. You drove you two to Claire's home, and carrying Jack you'd take a look at the house before heading inside.

The house was a pretty generous home deep in the suburbs. Certainly above and beyond than what a single mother and a child would need, and even with her husband back from duty, the house still wouldn't be all that full. At first you felt it was strange, but you realized fully well what the reason for this was. Clair didn't just love Jack, she loved her kid... and she- you... wanted to have more.

It was such a strange feeling for you, with your male mind still under all these layers, but you could notice thoughts of kids running around, playing with a teenage Jack... weird. This motherly sense of love and care... this is what you needed to channel to fix your relationship with Ki-Mom.

"Wooooow! Don't we have such a pretty house baby? Don't we? Dont we?!~" you said with wide excited eyes, cooing to the excited Jack. You playfully kissed his cheek over and over! You couldn't suppress my body's urge to fawn over Jack, but why would you want to? You had been absolutely right about how adorable he was. Fuck Kim and her bullshit! What kind of mother... mother... My mother!

You stopped mid-step much to Jack's confusion as you realized you had just insulted you own mother. Jack cooed again, and your face lit back up. You gave

Jack cooed again, and your face lit back up. You gave him another solid kiss right on the cheek before walking into the modern looking kitchen. You wiggled in place, not once letting Jack go as you watched his Favorite cook in a little pot. "Chicken thoup!" He cried happily, kissing your cheek and causing you to nearly start crying from joy. This... this was a wonderful feeling. You felt needed, loved, and affirmed all at once. And this kid... how could any one forget little Jack? It wasn't like... you caught yourself again as you nearly slipped into a rage at Kim once more.

It was clear to you now that Clair had a lot more of a personality to suppress, so you thought of changing tactics. You'd ride the wave, but subtly try and add your own thoughts to see if it would change Clair's.

You cooed softly as you spooned the last bite of chicken noodle soup into a giggling Jack's mouth. As Clair's body swelled with fondness and warmth, you thought back to a memory of your own that caused a similar feeling.

You were only three or four, and you had fallen off of your bike. You looked up and saw your mother in a white dress, and an angelic smile on her face. She spoke so soothingly that you knew everything would be fine. Did Jack look at Clair the same way?

As you put Jack down to watch some cartoons, you finally let yourself leave his sight- although that was diffucult too. You slowly began to walk through the house and poke your head into rooms. This would be your third kid's room. fourth... second... you knew you weren't stealing memories from Clair's mind, yet you felt like you were learning more and more by the second... just from being her.

You were right about these rings all along! As you reached Clair and her husband's bedroom, you grew a sly grin.

Surely Jack wouldn't miss me for a little bit...
