Let them suffer

Adam was blown away by the statement. He had seen an unbelievable amount of himself, other versions who acted almost the polar opposite of him. Nethertheless, they still were him. Well, in a sense. But Adam didn't know how he can possibly act to that. Then he reminded an important lesson, the first message of the cosmic being: There are endless versions. How many versions of him are making this exact choice? No matter what he would choose, there will always be a version of him who thinks different, who will choose the other. He thinks what the best option would be. He could either reset his wolrd, forget anything and never have to worry about it again or he could give his ultimate power of endless possibilitys to someone else, ending the endless suffering, at least for him. He took his train of thought even further. technially, there is an endless amount of versions of him that made this choice. Either that being lied to him or all of them chose to forget which is very unlikely. Adam finally made his decision, he has decided. He will compromise this world, hand his power over, to never have to suffer again.

"Are you finished?" asked the being, to which he responded yes. "Good. Then you shall take the door to your left. Go on, step through." And with that, Adam stepped through his last door, never to have to face consequences again. From now on, someone else will.
