Let the courts deal with him

One day a year after that family reunion, you receive a summons to a court hearing in that area, regarding establishment of paternity of a child. You are almost relieved. You haven't done well since that weekend. You are racked with guilt, you don't sleep very well, and your relations with the opposite sex have been rather disasterous. You think taking responsibility for the kid you made might finally put these feelings to an end.

When you first see Loretta in court, she actually smiles when she sees you. You can't help but smile back. Motherhood makes her even more beautiful than before. You take responsibility for your actions, and the court assigns child support payments. You ask for visitation rights and get them.

After the hearing, you meet Loretta outside the courtroom, even as her father tries to pull her away. You chat briefly with her, and she invites you to visit the farm for lunch, so you can see the baby. You brighten up and agree.

When you see Beth for the first time, your heart melts. She is a beautiful infant, and she and her mother both glow when you hold her. You feel like a huge weight has lifted from your shoulders.

You put the baby in the basinett, walk over to Loretta, who stands as you approach. She takes you in her arms, and the two of you kiss passionately. After a few minutes, you break the liplock, saying, "Do you love me? Will you marry me?"

Tears well up in her eyes, as she grins at you, and says, "I love you. I miss you. Yes, I will marry you."

When her father finds out, he is at first angry, but he softens when he realizes that you are serious. You move first to the farm, and then buy a small house in town. You end up having twin boys a couple years later. You become a good husband and parent. You and Loretta are very happy, and the sex is fantastic.
