How does the group react? Does Jake make a bet?
Let tension build, no bets to fix it. Let's go public.
Jake felt high on his own power. This situation should have been unbearable for everyone involved, but to everyone besides Jake it was a casual joke.
Nobody had to like the results of a bet. In fact, they seemed more likely to dislike the results. Yet the results were always tolerated, downplayed, mocked, and generally permitted to exist.
Did that work in public? Jake had to know.
"I think we should all go to the café together. It's weird if we sit around here and bet each other out of our clothes." Nobody objected to that statement or pointed out that only Jake was making such bets. "You'd all love to see Eric humiliated anyway."
Jake had already forgotten the exact wording of his previous bets. He was briefly surprised when everyone, including Eric, expressed interest in leaving the house.
The group grabbed some long jackets just in case one of them met resistance in public, Eric nervously tucked himself back into his crotch strap after the group agreed that he couldn't have a minute in the bathroom first, and they all headed out.
