Hear the rules for Competitor mode?
Let me hear them!
You got it. Look, giving our existing roster an honest fight will be no walk in the park, I'll tell you that for free. They're all skilled and sensual fighters in their own right. You also won't just be able to challenge any of them right away - gotta prove you're not a waste of time before higher-ranked fighters will face you, after all.
At any given time, you can be placed up against the fighter of the next highest rank or anyone beneath you in rank. Facing the next highest fighter will obviously give you a chance to rise a rank higher. Your rank can't lower by losing a fight against a higher-ranked fighter, but there are more dangerous consequences than a lowered rank. Your mental game is going to be a large contributor to your success or failure here, and if you're fucking up a lot or losing a lot of matches, you're going to find yourself cracking like an egg. Losing to the same person too many times is just as bad, they'll figure out what makes you tick and it'll be exponentially harder to beat them - and if you lose to one opponent too many times in a row, you run the risk of them making you their bitch. Thankfully, it just takes one win against them to avoid.
On the other hand, rematching fighters lower on the pecking order than you might not seem like a particularly rewarding experience at first. You can't rank up from fighting people you've already fought, and losing to someone puts you right back at the rank beneath them. But the higher you get in the ranks, the more prima donnas you run into - they'll want to see a certain number of wins before you can fight them, and that's where rematches come in.
Last but not least, try not to lose the same way too many times - speaking from experience, you'll get addicted to that particular kink and it'll become impossible to resist tactics that correspond to it.
