You see red momentarily before you remember who you are as a public figure. You can't afford to tarnish your reputation as mayor so you change your tone.
"I'm sorry. I didn't need to be disrespectful."
Kayden's expression softens at your apology and she shrugs. "So the job?"
You're really tempted to grab her at the moment and teleport to an isolated location to have your way with her, but you resist the urge. You decide that you need a better way of dealing with your urges, and you shake your head and leave the classroom.
Walking down the empty hallway, you pull out your phone and call Olivia.
"Hey John!" she answers.
"Hey. Listen, I have an idea for a renovation for the mansion. Can you write this down and find someone to get it done as quickly as possible?"
"Sure."
You detail to Olivia your idea and while she's puzzled, she promises to get right on it to find a contractor and spare no expense. The conversation is over by the time you get back to the car waiting for you outside.
"How did it go?" Ashley asks.
You shrug. "Struck out. I'm tired. Let's go back to the office."
