Let him go

Lana: Even if I wanted to let you go, you would be caught before no time! There is no point in any deal like that.

Traitor: That's where you are wrong, sweetheart! I've many friends in the palace, it happens, that one of them is the man who oversees the cameras around here. He's watching us now too!

He points at the camera at the ceiling, you look at there and sense the truth of his words.

Traitor: He'd find a way to delete all the recordings of this meeting and cover my escape! Nobody would find out about it, I can guarantee that!

Lana: How should I know you won't just flee and remain silent once the shield is down?

Traitor (pointing at his shoulder): I've the data you are looking for, right in my implant here! Functions as a physical strength enhancer and a data storage at the same time! Got it when I was shot in the shoulder and they put it into the wound, pretty nasty, huh?

Lana: If you are setting me up, you will be getting a way bigger wound, right at your chest.

Traitor: Oh, intimidation, I like that style! So, are you going to set me free sweetheart?

Lana: On one condition.

Traitor: I'm all ears!

Lana (opening the cell): You won't be calling me sweetheart ever again!

Traitor: An acceptable proposal!

Almec (from an other cell): So this is the famous way the Jedi handle their matters... By releasing prisoners and traitors to further their own interests...! Most fascinating...!

Lana: I could arrange for a few extra years for you to spend here if you keep talking like that!

He backs off from the ray shield with a frightened face and sits back down in silence.

Traitor: Hand me over your datapad and I'll download proof of my words onto it.

Lana (handing him the datapad): I'm watching you, don't you dare try anything!

Traitor (connecting the datapad to his implant): I might be lacking loyalty, but I'm no fool! I wouldn't try to outsmart a Jedi!

Lana: You better not! Who hired you anyway?

Traitor: I don't know who he was, I got an anonymous letter and payment in advance, I liked the job and accepted it.

Lana: That's not much to go on...

Traitor: Didn't say I had a lead on anybody, only that I'll tell you everything! Here, the data's on your datapad.

Lana (taking it): What's the info about anyway?

Traitor: Our lovely duchess has an illegitimate son! Could you believe that? He's called Korkie or Krokie or something!

Korkie Kryze is the nephew of Duchess Satine, his relationship to the duchess has always been more like a mother-son relationship. He could only be the son of Bo-Katan, the sister of Satine, if the status of "nephew" is valid, yet Bo-Katan has never been heard of admitting of having a child so far. Many suspected the real mother to be the young duchess instead, who tried to avoid any scandals, should the truth got out.

Lana: What are you talking about?! Korkie is her nephew! Satine hasn't even been married! Not to mention, she has never allowed any man anywhere near herself! This is like a terrible conspiracy theory!

Traitor: That's the neat part! The father is some Jedi fellow! Who would have guessed that?! An info like that would cripple the faith in the "virgin duchess", for sure, if made public!

Lana: I don't believe you!

Traitor: You don't have to... But the genetic samples are on your datapad now. Aaaand if I were you, I would be running quite fast now...!

Lana: Why should I?

Traitor: Because I have already transmitted the data to my associate, who's about to kill the boy within a few minutes new!

Lana (thinking): Blast it, true or not, I must hurry, Korkie is in danger!

You push the traitor aside and rush out of the prison block, to save Korkie before it's too late.

Traitor (shouting after you as he runs off too): Thanks for the rescue! Oh, and welcome for the info! Nothing personal, but I do hope we are never going to see each other again!

Outside the prison block some of the guards tell you he's in the Royal Library to learn for his tests in the academy.
