Let him go, he's not worth it

As Brandon disappeared into the second floor I took a deep breath, and tried to calm down. As angry as I felt right now, I wasn't going to let him provoke me into following him upstairs. I had already let this argument go too far already. It wasn't like I was going to convince him of anything anyways. Feeling kinda silly about my recent behavior, I started looking for Jamie instead. I had promised him more attention tonight after all.

I found Jamie hanging out in our regular couch, and dumped myself next to him.

"Already finished?" he said as he saw me.

"Yeah, I guess we just had to agree to disagree. I wasted too much time on that asshole anyways." I replied.

With my mind free of Brandon I was ready to enjoy the party. Cuddling up to Jamie, I accepted a cup of beer and settled in. We had been drinking and chatting for about an hour when Tyler appeared, wanting to have a word with Jamie. They disappeared together, looking for more drinks, Jamie promising to be back soon.

I was sitting by myself, nodding to the beat, when Brandon made an unwelcome appearance. Dropping down into the same armchair as last time, he grinned at me.

"You made me feel quite foolish there," he said. "Sitting by myself in my bedroom, waiting for you to show up."

"You really though I would follow you up to your fucking bedroom?" I said laughing.

"Misread the mood I guess. You have captured my attention though."

"Didn't I just disprove your little theory?" I said shaking my head at him.

"A minor setback. I can see the real you, deep down inside."

I rolled my eyes in disgust at that.

"Sure thing asshole. But right now I'm trying to have a good time, so please leave." I motioned over to Tyler and Jamie coming back over way. Raising his hands in defeat Brandon got up and finally left me alone.

"You're not done arguing?" Jamie said sitting down next to me,

"We're done, he just can't accept he lost," I said grinning at him. "But forget him, tonight is about you and me." Jamie grinned back at me.
