Let Josie Call Your Ex

“Hello?” my ex answered on speakerphone.

“Hey, girl! What are you doing?”

“Nothing. Just finished dinner with my parents. What about you?”

“Just hanging out with Sabrina. We went to Mike’s house and offered him a threesome.”

“Oh, you did, did you?”

“Yep! He said yes, so we all just finished and thought we’d call and say hey.”

“Totally.”

Sabrina elbowed me and grinned.

“What the hell,” I thought to myself.

“Hey, Jasmine,” I said.

“What the hell? Is that Mike? You really went there?”

“Yeah, they sure cheered me up! I knew I always liked your friends.”

“Alright, gotta go!” Josie said before hanging up.

The three of us looked at each other before bursting into laughter.

“Wow,” Sabrina said. “That is going to bite us in the ass later.”

“Yep!” Josie agreed.

“Why did you do that?”

“I don’t know! I blame the tequila.”

“Alright, what’s next?” I asked. “Do I get you both for the night?”

“No, we can’t stay over,” Sabrina said.

“I’m not letting you drive,” I said. “We had too many shots.”

“It’s fine, we’ll get an Uber and pick up the car in the morning.”

“Want to come downstairs and hang out with my friends?” I asked.

“Not at all. The walk of shame will be bad enough. There’s no way they didn’t hear us down there.”

“How do you know?”

“Because we’ve heard you banging Jasmine up here when we were over for a party.”

“Seriously?” I asked. “That’s awkward.”

“Yeah, but it was also kind of hot. Why else do you think we came over tonight?”

“To piss off your friend, apparently.”

“That’s not it,” Josie said. “You’re a good guy, Mike. You don’t deserve her bullshit.”

“I appreciate that,” I said as I took a serious tone. “Hey, can I get a hug?”

“Of course!” Josie said as she wrapped her arms around me.

“Remember, if we ever do this again, we said we’re only repeating it as a threesome,” Sabrina said behind us.

“Agreed,” I said.

The girls took their time getting dressed and eventually I walked them out.

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay?” I asked as we waited for their Uber.

“Yeah,” Josie said. “Otherwise, Sabrina is worried it would be weird to wake up next to you.”

“The cold light of day and all that.”

“Makes sense,” I said. “Well, I don’t need to tell you both you made my day. Thanks for thinking of me, and thanks for bringing me out of my funk. It was just what I needed.”

“I’m glad,” Josie said as she kissed me.

“Hey! If you kiss him, that means I have to, too.”

“Sorry to put you out,” I said with a grin as I kissed Sabrina next.

“Alright, here’s the car,” Josie said.

“Don’t be strangers!” I said as I kissed them both one more time, much to the amusement of the driver as he pulled up.

The next day, I got a call from Josie.

“Hey, you unblocked my number!”

“Yeah, I can’t really explain it, but I had a sudden change of heart," I said.

“Weird! Anyway… I was thinking…”

I waited for her to continue.

“What are you doing tomorrow night?”

“No plans,” I said. “Unless you count hanging out with my dumbass friends.”

“Want to hang out with me instead?”

“The three of us?”

“I was thinking more like… just the two of us.”

"And what would we do?"

"Netflix and chill," she said.

"Emphasis on chill?"

"You must be a mind reader."

"That's me!"

"So, what do you say?"
