Let Emma go in

I thought about it, bit my tongue, and let Emma leave the car. Before she slammed the door though, she gave me one of her clips.

I nodded, and she left for the building.

Once she got through the door, there was silence. I waited for what seemed like hours, and there was no sound. Then, just out of the blue, I heard gun shots. It made me jump, and I instinctively pulled my gun out. There were five shots that I heard, and then silence. I waited, and still nothing more happened.

I looked at my watch. It had been thirty minutes since the last shot I had heard, and still there was no more sound. The LAPD still hadn?t arrived, and now I was getting impatient. I opened my door and stuck my hand out the window. It was a perfect day, which for me was bad news. I haven?t found any powers I can use on mild days, which meant that if I went in to see what happened to Emma, I?d only have my gun to protect me. But I was getting worried and there still was no sound.
