Chapter 3 by SinningSovereign SinningSovereign

What's next?

Let’s Start A Family

I sat alone in the living room whilst Hinata took the distraught Sakura to our bedroom.

I wondered.

What happened to Sakura?

Was she not happily married to Sasuke? Or did something else happen?

It wasn’t too common for her to visit us, especially so late at night.

I frowned, deciding to stop thinking about it. Might as well wait for Hinata to tell me later or have Sakura tell me herself in a couple of hours or another day.

Despite thinking so, I was still curious. I looked over to my room’s closed door.

Like a veil obscuring everything, I tried hard to perk up my ears and try to hear something, anything.

But all I heard were some faint cries and talking.

It seemed like Sakura was finally calming down and talking with my cute Hinata.

Tap

I unconsciously lifted and pressed down my index finger down, tapping on the armrest of my couch.

Tap

Tap

“Alright… can I listen in?”

I stood up, looking at the door. Yet before I could take a step forward, I just plopped my behind back onto the couch.

Thud!

“Hey! Are you alright!”

I stood up after hearing something in my room. Worried that Hinata might have hurt herself, I stood up quickly and walked over to the bedroom door, but before I could place my hand on the door’s handle, I hear Hinata giggle.

“Tatsu! I dropped the medicine cabinet, don’t worry about anything,” Hinata said from behind the door.

Ha…

I sigh in relief and shook my head with a self mocking smile.

I’m in the world of Naruto! It wouldn’t be so easy for Hinata to hurt herself by accident. She and everyone else have dealt with things way worse than falling boxes or cabinets.

Rolling my eyes, I turn, heading back to the couch.

“Honey?”

I hear Hinata call for me and I stop, turning to the door curiously.

“Yeah?”

“Do you know which medicine is the Acetaminophen? Sakura’s got a headache.”

“Acetaminophen? Ah, the Tylenol… it’s the one without a label. It’s from a month ago, remember? You got some nail polish on it, and you wanted to fix it, in the end, you took off the label,” I said as I recall that moment.

Her cute little scrunched up face as she tried to fix the label and how serious and focused she was.

“Right! Ah… hm?”

I heard my cute Hinata’s questioning tone in her voice.

“What’s wrong honey?”

“Ah… nothing… it must be this one…”

I perked up my ear close to the door, “What was that, honey?”

“Nothing, just putting the medicine cabinet back.”

I nod, smiling to myself as I go back to the couch.

Minutes later, I finally hear some movement from the bedroom.

Creeak!

The door swung open and Hinata and Sakura stepped out.

Sakura appeared much better than before, sad, but no longer crying and was now relaxed. However, she had one hand on her forehead and a pained expression on her face.

Is the medicine not working?

Maybe it will come into effect soon and the Tylenol will take the pain away.

On the other hand, my poor wife appeared a little worn out and tired.

I sigh, seeing my wife’s dedication and worry for her friends.

“She’s such a sweetheart…” I muttered, looking at my beautiful black haired wife.

I stand up and approach the two with a worried look on my face. Although I wasn’t too worried about Sakura since my sweet Hinata was here, it is always good to show a little concern, it’s what a friend would do.

“Remember Sakura, Hinata and I are always here for you if you need help. We might not be the strongest like Naruto or Sasuke, but we’ll be here offering emotional and mental support,” I said, standing next to Hinata and looking at the pink haired woman in front of me.

She lifted her head and looked at me with her emerald eyes.

“Mm… thank you, both of you,” Sakura said, a weak smile on her face.

Hinata and I smiled at her words and gave her a tight hug before sending her on her way.

Once she was out of sight, we closed the door to the house and turned to each other.

“What happened?” I asked, curious and a little concerned.

Hinata revealed a wry smile on her face.

“It’s Sasuke… he’s disappeared again for the fifth time. He left a note, saying he won’t be back for another two years,” Hinata explained. “Thing is… Sakura is all ready to start a family.”

I frowned at Hinata’s words, a disappointed feeling welling up within me. Disappointed in both Sakura and Sasuke. Sakura, for marrying a person like Sasuke who’s incapable of staying put or offering time and feelings for his own wife, and Sasuke for constantly disappearing and not taking care of such a beautiful woman like Sakura.

I shook my head and looked into Hinata’s eyes.

I smile and caress her cheek, feeling her loving gaze.

With that gaze, I could feel butterflies rise in my stomach and tickle me about as I looked into her eyes with a slight flush on my cheeks.

“What about you? Are you ready to start a family?”

I did it.

I finally did it.

I popped the question!

Hinata’s face turned red like a tomato and she buried her face in my chest.

“Ah! Mm…”

She didn’t say a word, but I didn’t see or hear a rejection. It was obvious that Hinata was really thinking about it.

She lifted her head from my chest and looked at my eyes with the cutest face. Her red cheeks, small but embarrassed smile, and her sparkly eyes looking straight at me.

She slowly nodded her head and I felt my heart explode from joy!

Ahhh!

“But…”

Quickly reeling in the joy, I could feel that I didn’t feel it in good enough. I could still feel the smile on my face.

“When Sakura has her child… that way, our little one can have a friend to play with in the future,” she continued, her voice barely audible as she spoke quietly.

I felt a little disappointed, but it didn’t change the fact that one day, she and I will start our own family. A silly smile spread on my face as I hugged Hinata tightly.

“Sounds fine… now, let’s go to sleep,” I say, looking into Hinata’s beautiful eyes.

She nodded.

Next morning, I was already dressing up for work. Hinata was as loving and diligent as always, cooking some breakfast and preparing my lunch for work.

“Thanks honey,” I say, helping her out with what I can.

Hinata smiled, “It’s what I should do as your wife. Now, come, let’s eat breakfast together.”

Sitting at the table together, Hinata and I ate our breakfast before I stood up and got ready to leave.

“I love you, Hinata, I’ll see you later,” I say as I grabbed Hinata by her hips and pulled her into a hug. I kissed her, pressing my lips against her plump lips.

With red cheeks, Hinata giggled, “I love you too, Tatsu.”

Smiling, I left the house with a chuckle. I opened the door and found a figure in the distance speed walking towards my house.

“Sakura?” I softly mumble, noticing her red face and holding a thick book in her hands and placing it over her crotch. “Is she here to talk with Hinata?”

I smile and leave, happy to know that Hinata is a dependable person.
