Chapter 4 by tsuj tsuj

Time to play a game?

Let's play

Outside the dome bustled hundreds of viewers, cheering and hooting as the competitors on screen ran about in their rooms, attempting to solve each puzzle they were given.

On one screen was a man in his late twenties, pushing blocks across the room as they formed some abstract pattern that he had certainly messed up beyond saving. Another screen had a young woman, carefully walking a plank as a barrage of water balloons attempted to knock her into the pool below. The most popular one however, was with a handsome pirate, fighting his way through in a room that appeared to hold a number of foes dressed as rogues and pirates.

While certainly challenging, from what she could tell there was nothing on screen that she couldn't handle, especially after everything else she had experienced with her crew.

Stepping into the building itself, the lobby was simple if not lazy, with one desk in the middle with a single secretary attending a line of participants.

Last chance to back out...
