You notice Arana's eyes briefly flash with disappointment but she quickly steels herself and starts to talk. About her early days. She grew up in Astoria, beautiful scenery, peaceful and all round a good place to live in. She talked about how she became a rogue because her friends were always talking about getting married to some chivalrous knight or lord and she hated the idea of that, so she became the opposite of a knight. Eventually, time came for her to set out into the world. Her wanderlust too great. She set out into Alluvia, to earn fortune and whatnot. It was good at first but she grew bored with the standard, dull class quests. Most of them were about skill rotations and the like and she could easily learn all of them in hours. Eventually, she became intrigued in increasing her skills personally, instead of through some stat boost, and that is what caused her to start researching you. She saw that you had taken down heroes many times your level and wanted to contact you. Add in the rise of 'awakened' monsters and her limitless curiosity and that was what made her message you directly. Her story is deeply personal and you can tell that she has put a lot of thought and experience into her backstory.

In her eyes, you can see soft longing but a greater need for knowledge. She knows what she wants and has no doubts about it, but sometimes, she thinks of the past. But never for too long.
