Chapter 4

Alright, what's the game plan? Head for the resturant, or try to intercept someone?
Let's head for the resturant!
The morning meeting was at the top of the priority list - as much as Nagito wanted to test things out by catching someone along the way to breakfast, all it'd take would be for someone to ask the question "Hey, where's Nagito?" or "Hey, where's this girl?" and someone would start looking. Actually- it'd probably be best to document just who'd be prioritizing which girl when he does act on them, wouldn't it? A few were relatively easy to guess at, though. If he got too chummy with Sonia in front of Kazuchi for instance, it'd be pretty likely for the guy to cause problems.
Regardless, he walked down the path from his cabin towards the hotel, past the pool, and up the stairs to the left of the building, doing his best to shuffle off towards the far side of the buffet line as the others slowly filed in. Byakuga was first- he merely gave a nod towards Nagito and then got to checking the food (although, if no one remembered anything about the killing game, was there a reason for him to taste-test from "every" part of the buffet?) Hajime was next, and the rest of the crowd wasn't far behind.
"Good nom-nom-nomming!" Ibuki shouted, as everyone else began to file into the restaurant, giving much more...muted greetings. Actually, if no one remembered the killing game, then they were probably still wondering what was up with this island, weren't they?
"Hey, everyone." Nagito greeted with a grin and a wave. "Sleep well?" It was the easiest way to prod, and from the looks a few of his more "serious" classmates shot him, they'd taken the bait.
"Not exactly, but I suppose it's difficult for anyone to get any at this moment." Byakuga muttered, his face scrunching up before he turned to look over. "Kazuchi, were you and Hajime able to access any of the other islands yesterday?"
The pink haired mechanic shook his head. "Uh, no. I don't know what that rabbit's been doing, but every single one of those islands is blocked off by a big-ass robot. They're actually really nice to look at! Er, not as nice as Miss Sonia, of course..."
"This is a delectable meal!" Sonia spoke from one of the further tables, seemingly unhearing or ignorant of Kazuchi's comment, as the Ultimate Chef grumbled. "My lady, if you think this is nice, you and Akane will have your socks blown off by my cooking." He spoke, as Kazuchi just grimaced. "Right- I think the "Monobeasts" aren't going to move unless we do something proper. Any signs of aggression and they'll just maul us to ****. It's like they're trigger-locked or something."
"Trigger?" Sonia asked, as the tables fell silent for a single moment. Had her eyes glazed over? Had all of the eyes of the girls glazed over? Nagito blinked, and the moment passed- but no one else seemed to notice it.
"Yeah! It's a type of programming lock where you have to accomplish a certain task, and then it does something. Like-"
"An event flag in a game." Chiaki spoke as she took her seat. "If you clear a quest, or use a specific item, the goal opens up, right? Usami said we needed to gather the Hope Fragments through making friends before we could leave..."
"Bullshit." A voice interjected from the opposite side of the room, far from the main crowd. Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, the Ultimate Yakuza took a bite of his omelette, grin thin and eyes narrowed. "Two things - first, I don't want any of you dumbasses trying to approach me to make "friends". For all I know, you could be in on whatever the fuck's happening here. Secondly, no one in their right mind would kidnap people and put them on an island in the interests of making "friends." Those Monobeasts are killing machines."
"Ah! Sorry!" Mikan's voice muttered from another table, as other voices began to crowd back in. Mahiru was fiddling with her camera, and Akane was scarfing down food. Peko was quietly observing Fuyuhiko's rant, and Chiaki was- well, she was asleep.
From the looks of it, breakfast was going nowhere for a second, and he was doing nothing to help any of that. Then again, it wasn't his job to come up with answers- it was his job to help lift them up.
"Hajime, it looks like you've got an idea." Nagito spoke with a grin, pointing towards Hajime, who clearly had no ideas. "What do you think everyone should do to get to know each other better?"
Hajime blinked as his gaze flipped from Fuyuhiko to the inquirer, eyes wide with alarm. "Huh?"
"Hajime's got an idea?" Ibuki asked, perking up as the room quieted at her exclamation.
"I mean, I guess we could all do a group-hangout." Hajime muttered, as Byakuga raised his own hand. "Everyone." He interjected. "I believe what Hajime was about to say is that we should host a party- a mixer in order to get to know each other better. Does anyone have any suggestions for the venue?"
The rest of the conversation, Nagito barely paid any attention to as he eyed his E-handbook.
Hajime Hinata - Suspicion: 0%
Gundham Tanaka - Suspicion: 1%
When did Gundham get suspicious? How did he get suspicious? Actually, where in the room was he? Either way, it seemed like suspicion was mostly just tied to the girls- thankfully, Nagito needling Hajime hadn't set anything like that off.
Current Action Status: Innocent (Will upgrade to "Slightly Hormonal" in Four Actions.)
- (0) Akane Owari - Exercise with her for a total of 30 minutes.
- (0) Chiaki Nanami - Play five rounds of any game with her.
- (0) Hiyoko Saionji - Get her hair wet.
- (0) Ibuki Mioda - Engage in a "jam session".
- (0) Mahiru Koizumi - Get her to take a photograph of you!
- (0) Mikan Tsumiki - Give her a simple greeting!
- (0) Peko Pekoyama - Pat her on the head.
- (0) Sonia Nevermind - Watch television with her.
Speaking of, two of these looked way too easy. What was Monokuma's game with Mahiru and Mikan's? Either way, every single one of the girls was here- along with all of the guys, but these looked to be simple triggers. The real question was, who did he want to go for first?
Alright, Nagito! You're having a delicious breakfast, but which table do you want to sit at?

Danganronpa: Trigger Havoc
Not exactly "Trigger Happy"
