Janet knocked on the door and Sam almost immediately opened it. "Janet! Thank you so-"

"Alright, what's going on?" Janet cut her off irritably. She wanted to get this over with and get home to study. She didn't have time for Sam's stupid games. She walked in and saw Jake standing sheepishly in the living room.

Sam pursed her lips with an odd expression Janet had never seen her make before. "There's really no way to say this easily. I, uh, accidentally became sort of... linked to Jake. Or something." Jake was looking at the floor and blushing slightly.

What the hell was she talking about? "You brought me over here because, what, you slept with Jake? That's it?"

Sam turned a deep crimson at the same time Jake did. Jake coughed. "Uh, we didn't sleep together. Look, it'd probably be easiest to show you. Humor me- think of a number between one and a million and whisper it to me."

Janet sighed and obliged. Sam started laughing. "Three? Come on, try a real number." Repeating the process, Sam correctly guessed 75,250.

"So you brought me over to show me a stupid magic trick? You two are obviously signaling each other."

"Ok, whisper something longer to Jake. Come on, please."

Janet was losing her patience. She leaned over and began to whisper into Jake's ear. As she was whispering, Sam echoed. "You two can go f-"

Janet abruptly stopped. "How are you doing that?"

"Believe us yet?"
