Let's find out how they perform

Julie Chen welcomes Alina, Daisy Mae, Raquel and Roxy to the stage. After a brief introduction, she sends the ladies into the house for their first competition. Daisy Mae squeals loudly when she sees the inside of the house, and Raquel quickly follows suit. Roxy and Alina are less vocal, but still admire the decorations as the ladies make their way to the backyard. When they get there, they each find a raised circular platform with six buttons mounted around the edge. As they each step up onto their own platform, Julie Chen explains the rules.

JULIE CHEN - "Hello, ladies. Get ready for your first competition of the summer. This competition is called Lights, Camera, Action and here's how it works. On my go, the buttons around the edge of your platforms will begin to light up randomly. Your goal is to find the lit buttons and press them before the lights turn off. Every time you successfully press one of the lit buttons, you gain a point. The houseguest with the most points at the end of 90 seconds will move on to compete for the first Head of Household. The houseguest with the fewest points will be a Have-Not for the week. Does everyone understand? You may begin at the sound of the horn."

The horn blows and the houseguests spring into action. The six buttons are arranged on all sides of the circle, making it impossible for the contestants to see all the buttons at the same time. The random pattern is the same for each houseguest, but they quickly start taking different approaches to the task. Roxy and Raquel start spinning around to try and catch as many lit buttons as they can, while Alina and Daisy Mae decide to stay put and focus on just three of the buttons that they can see at all times.

At the 30-second mark, Roxy is in the lead over the other three, who are all roughly matching pace with each other. Roxy's spinning strategy is paying off and allowing her to outpace the slower, more consistent strategies of Alina and Daisy Mae. Raquel is struggling to do as well with the spinning as Roxy, but still managing to keep up.

At the 60-second mark, Roxy's lead has grown significantly to where she is the clear frontrunner. Alina has shifted her strategy to spinning to try and catch up to Roxy, but isn't having as much success, falling slightly behind Daisy Mae. Raquel has changed her approach, too, having decided to stop spinning and focus on three buttons instead like Daisy Mae, who has kept the same strategy as before. However, Raquel is dizzy from all the fast spinning she did, causing her to be unsteady and miss a few buttons.

With 10 seconds remaining, Roxy is still well out in front with Daisy Mae in second and Alina and Raquel in close contention for third. It comes down to the wire, but when the competition is over, Raquel ends up just one point behind, narrowly losing the competition to Alina and becoming a Have-Not. Daisy Mae came in second and Roxy in first, winning the competition by eleven points: a dominant performance. Julie Chen congratulates Roxy on her win, then tells the audience that, after the next commercial break, they'll meet the final four houseguests.
